There is a unit that was taken away in the 1.12, but now seems to work.
This is the list of effects of this unit:
~Crashes when clicked
~130 tiles wide, all to the right [From Kenoli]
[If you want to see center of unit, attack with archon]
~Has no effect when halucenated
~Has "Cover" of zergling
~Has no depth [You cant walk on it, you go under it]
~Is not considered at terren unit
More Interesting-
~Acts as a dropship [Click on it with ground unit, it will remove it and play dropship wave file]
~Only has 1 point where you can target it, even tho it seems 130 blocks wide
~You can attack it from any range and have misiles fly across map
~Melee units can attack from a distance
~It seems to have an effect when "entering" unit while highlighted with 2 kinds of the same units- All but one tend to go in
~Game detects unit as a "transport"
~Will "enter" the unit with a trigger
~Will NOT "exit" unit with trigger
ADDED-
~Has marine wireframe, while selected in group [Rantent]
~Seems to have large amount of HP [Corbo(MM)]
~Has shields when attacked by air [Corbo(MM)]
~Has no shields when attacked by ground [Corbo(MM)]
There is more to this unit than listed above, if you find something else interesting, then please post.
All credit goes to Kenoli for finding this unit.
You can find this unit right here [Kenoli made it, I added on to it]:
[attachmentid=17578]
Special effects could be nice with this

Crashes when clicked
Actually it is a marine wireframe when selected in a group.
And I'm not sure if thats the center that the attacks show up at. As each attack just shows up in that general area. Give or take about 15 squares)
QUESTION!!!
Are there any other kool units kile this???
We don't know, the only way to find out is to test other extended units using starforge, a few patches ago I had compiled a list of some I had tested, but its likely worthless now.
y does it crash if the unit dies?
added more unuseful info:
when attacked from air it shows shields
it has 11*8 amount of shields which is ...ugh 88?
i kept attacking with the wraith and it didn't die after 100 shots so i assume it has more than 1000 hp
when attacked from ground it does not have shields for some reason
btw the missiles across the map its a damn good idea i might try triggers to make the units attack the...2008
oh and i think ground units walk slower when walking trough the 2008 and it might crash because it has no death animation
This was a pretty cool thing to put into a map maybe but its kinda buggy maybe someone with find out other ways to make this better
I thought it actually sounded more like a shuttle...
I used this alot in the past... but then a patch came out and the units went across the map so I had guessed it patched. I never wondered why they never came from the other side.
Until recently I had not thought much about it. (My friend made the map where I first saw it, so I tested it and found the same things.)
It has no height.
Also long ago when testing it, recalling would make it go off the edge of the map.
Just so you guys know, it does indeed have sheilds when attacked by ground, try it with marines and you can see this.
weird...it didn't show me shields when i attacked from ground
so damn weird
I've found something else thats just as weird, after extensive testing and attempts at kililng these units, I found that they no longer appeared on the map. I doublechecked the map in SF, the units are still there, but they just don't appear ingame any more.
I have attached the map for your examination.
I think that this unit might be unstable, as it seems to completly randomly dissapear, or crash occasionally.
Attachments don't seem to be working for me at the moment, it up in codes of the map, but that is very interesting. Did you try it with other units, or jsut 2008?
...the mysteries of StarCraft code....
How did you place that unit? And why it's 2008
?
Use Starforge, its 2008... well... becuase that is its number.
Joker, try using Internet explorer to download the attachment, as much as I hate to condone using IE, the attachment bug applies only to firefox.
As for the dissapearing units, I've found something even odder, if I play as the owner of the units, they arn't there, BUT I HAVE VISION there, that can also see cloaked units. Apparently unit 2008 is also a detector while in its "invisible" mode.
However, it seems that it is selective about what it detects-- for a few seconds at the start of the game, it can detect the dark templar in the area, but shortly after, they become invisible, even though the probes cloaked by the arbiter are still visible. I beleive this means that unit 2008 cannot detect air units outside its "native sight range", only ground units, and even with ground units, only detects certain units.
By using another unit with a larger vision range, I discovered that unit 2008 acts as a detector in a slightly larger area than its sight range. Also, a few minutes into the map, I discovered that the computer's dragoons (placed near a unit 2008, began attacking thin air where the unit should have been, I heard a "your forces are under attack" sound, then suddonly they stopped attacking. This event repeated itself several times, for some strange reason the unit only becomes VISIBLE occasionally.
The unit 1111 is also weird too (if u guys wanna test it) but that unit crashes on me 99% of the time...
JUST SO WIERD

Those properties aren't all correct.
This is awesome.
Like z0mg, work on getting more EUD's back
Yeah we should focus on getting EUD's back so we can detect more things about these units like how much life they got and where they are when certain things happen.
we also need the maker's of scm draft and starforge to incorperate EUD in the editors, that would help, anyone know the makers personally?
cause man once we get EUD's back i bet we could do some trippy stuff with these units and EUD's
Hertz- You do know that this isn't a result of EUDs....right?
As for the unit itself, has anyone been able to download my attachment and confirm that the units are behaving strangly in that map, I have an inkling that some of the weirdness might be a result of my 4 year old starcraft installation, which has been becoming progressivly more corrupt.
how many more of these units are there
Btw it was said that air units make unit 2008 show shields but ground doesnt, then it was said that marine made the unit show shields. Could it be that only projectile attacks make 2008 show shields?
