Lets say I have 4 diffrent locations.
And I center them 4 seperate, but the the same unit owned by p9-12.
Then I Have a condition that said
nuetral players bring 1 unit to here.
Would that trigger effect all of those players seperately?
If you tried it you may get a result. It is hard for me to tell what would occur. Just save the map under a different name and test that and see what happends.
I'm not sure that Players 9, 10, or 11 would be affected by the trigger.
Usa starforge or another program that can make extended player triggers to indicate which players will be affected...
then you could use "player 9 brings 1 unit to location" etc.
You can use P9-12 separately as parts of a condition... just test it to see if "neutral players" includes all of them.

So then what do Nuetral players effect.
ADDITION:
Oh i cant do p9-12 diffrently enless i want to add another 200 triggers on. And it would take to long to run

"Neutral player"
Works for players that are set to neutral in the properties.

So does SC counts P12 as Neutral or Unused?
i think p12 is a unused by SC because orginal editor doesnt support him
Use starforge and im pretty sure u can set p9-12 to neutral, then try the neutral players thing, if u want individual players triggers (9-12) use starforge to select Player 9,10,11 For the trigger's players, then don't edit the triggers that apply to them or you'll have to re apply the triggers to p 9-12.

the neutral player settings dont works and like kept_wheat sayt he/she dont wanna make another 200 triggers for the 9+ players.
no p12 is a "unused" player. Why do you need a neutral unit for? Like whats the purpose?
yeah, what the hell is the purpose? But, I think setting P9P10P11 to netrual will crash SC. SC is not meant to read those players.
Lol. SF sucks compared to SCMD. I wish we still had the Player Mapping levels because then i wouldnt get some of the answers I get. P9-12 set to neutral doesnt crash because SC is meant to read those players. They are basically set to used when you put a start location. I just want to know what exactly does Nuetral Players conform to.
How about you take 10 minutes to test what your asking about, or refine your question so it can't answered with a one trigger test.
ill that didnt help at all.
And Bolt I have tested. Just found nothing conclusive. Its all weird.
Considering the nature of the test it should be pretty easy.
1. Make a location
2. Place a player 9 Unit on that location
3. Create the Following Trigger
| Trigger |
| Players: |
| ¤ All Players |
| Conditions: |
| ¤ neutral player Brings at least 1 men to 'location 0' |
| Actions: |
¤ Whatever noticeable output you prefer.
|
¤ Display Text "Looks like neutral does detect player 9"
|
¤ Create 255 Command Centers at location 0
|
| ¤ End Scenario in Defeat/Victory/Draw |
4. If the trigger runs then you can detect player 9 using 'bring neutral'. If it doesn't run then you can't.
If this isn't what you’re asking about you should clarify.
I did a similar test. It didnt work.
ADDITION:
Well then what do nuetral players detect?
ADDITION:
Wait just checked the map i used to test. I just changed the race to nuetral. I didnt change the type. retesting.
Player settings:
Player 1 = human
Player 2 = human
Player 3 = human
Player 4 = human
Player 5 = computer
Player 6 = computer
Player 7 = neutral player
Player 8 = neutral player
examply
now player 7 and 8 get effected by the "Neutral Player" thing out of triggers
can u set them to nuetral with the normal sc editor. I havent used that thing in forever.
euhm just checked.
you can set them to neutral add orginal but only player 1-8.
for your problem i am still thinking of how to help

See the real problem was that i had 4 units owned by 1 player and were the same unit because they had to be. And i had to center 4 diffrent locations on them. the only way to make it perfect was to have the units owned by diffrent players. Now i make them owned by p8(which i turned nuetral so i didnt have to re-edit the condition from nuetral players to p8) and use 4 quadrants. Its falty unperfect system though.
