I Would like to create a map. But i need a cool looking terrain on mini-map. What terrain has the most variety in colors shown. Like reds and blues and yellows and stuff. I need a lot of colors.

There was an image that showed all the colors in each tileset's palette, but I can't find it. =\

I know Ice is great for a grayscale image:

It all depends on what kind of picture you have in mind to turn into a map... each tileset is unique for certain colors (ex: ashland for reds and oranges).

I found a more pure badlands green than shown in 1 of these maps. Or at least more pure in the way scmd shows it.

You know what would be really nice? If SCMD2 GAve you a sample of what each tile looked like in the mini as you moused over the tile.

That would be very tedious to use. Moving the mouse over each tile until you found the one you were looking for? Why not just have a little chart or something for each row of tiles?

Yeah if it displayed the color in a big box it would but would still be helpful in special instances. BOTH would best. Suggest it to him.

ADDITION:
Or actually a color palete that will select the terrain for that color automatically would be the best.

Or just showing a small minimap which is zoomable so you can see the colours.

if only we had real color minimap like vanilla staredit but on scmdraft or sf

SCMD is a real color minimap. It reads directly from the mpq unlike SF.
