Final Fantasy 7 was so much better than Final Fantasy 10...
You obviously played FFX trying to find any flaw in the game.

Now I couldn't beat FFX (Damn Semor and his robot form on the top of that one Mountain), but from what I hear, nothing past the part I got to was very good. There was Sin, big bad guy killing people, and Tidus.
WHAT?! There was never a Seymour ROBOT. And everything past that was amazing, the plot was amazing past that part. And I hope you don't think Seymour was another thing that made the game crappy. Because there are plenty of cheap bosses in FF7.

Some sort of time-warpy thing happen, he gets shot 1000 (or was it 10000?) years into the future, where technology is banished. Meet Yuna and others along the way, which disapointed me because Wakka, the blue guy, and Luna (Might have those names wrong) didn't have any side-stories or views into their past. Wakka is simply some guy, the blue guy is simply some warrior that wants to help, and Luna is simply Yuna's bodyguard. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Uh. Tidus gets thrown 1,000 years into the future by Sin, which is werid but it's nothing that FF7 hasn't screwed up. (Who's idea was it that a cat was a main character). Wakka is the leader of the Besaid Aurochs, and at the beginning of the game part guardian. Later on in the game he becomes a full Guardian to Yuna. There was a huge side story with that and how he has to deal with the game, and of course Chappu his brother. But I doubt you listened to the story and only continued to jam on the X button till you could find something wrong with the gameplay. LULU (Not Luna) and Wakka had an attachment to Chappu. Chappu was Wakka's brother, and Lulu was suppose to marry Chappu. However due to crusaders and "betraying" Wakka he decided to use an Al Bed machina weapon. Chappu was killed by Sin, and both Wakka and Lulu's life were changed. Also Lulu has a past with being a guardian to two other summoners, in the Calm Lands there is a side story where you find out that on Lulu's first pilgrmage her Summoner died. The other one you never hear about. And Wakka also hates the Al Bed throughout the entire game. Which plays into the game when Rikku an Al Bed character joins the party. Also how half of Yuna's heritage is Al Bed, and Wakka doesn't know.
Kimahri (The blue tiger you're refering to) has a small story but it's still important. He's the oldest guardian out of the cast, and has been with Yuna since she was 5 years old. Kimahri also has a past with Biran and Yenke the two other Ronso from his past. You find out late in the game that Kimahri left on a bad note with them. At the near end of the game (Before "Robot" Seymour) he defeats Biran and Yenke in a fight.
How's that for "No story at all" compared to the very vidid characters of FF7. A theif, who is theifish... A cat that is actually a shrina solider in disguise, or controlling it. And some raging black guy who hates everything and swears all the time.

Auron, from what I hear, was really a ghost the whole time. This is cool and all, but it doesn't tie into anything else. He's just a ghost, big whoop.
And Vincent is what? A vampire, who's cool, but he has a gun, big whoop. Auron is the link to the truth of Yevon. He knows about the corruptness, and how Sin could never be defeated, it was only false hope. You find that out later in the game, but you never got that far. He's a very interesting character as well throughout the entire game. How he never gives a clear answer, and always giving advice etc.
QUOTE
I also hear that Tidus is really long dead and is also a ghost. Once again, big whoop.
Sin is Tidus' father... Unoriginal Star Wars style (Luke, I am your father)
And Seirphoth was Cloud's idol and best friend... aw I'm going to cry

. Tidus narrated the entire story, and having him figure out how the world works and everything was very interesting. And him being a dream (Not dead) was also a twist in the story. Espically when considering the love intrest of Tidus and Yuna. Also brings up how many other people are dreams?
QUOTE
Now there's Sin, who is the big baddy at first, then there comes Semor and his gang. They just think the whole world would be better off dead, and start turning people into ghosts. Once again, not very original nor too plot twisting. So the technology bandits go to war with the technology-haters, and there's some cool stuff with that. I honestly never saw how this tied into the main plot of killing Sin and Semor, but I feel I may have overlooked something.
Then, from what I hear, you go on to kill the false god who was manipulating Semor and friends, and Tidus somehow becomes Sin.
You're talking about the ending which you haven't even played through yet, so arguing on this point is useless. You don't even know how it ends, it could be incredblie and awesome and lockinge verything in together. But you don't actually care, try playing the entire game before critising the ending.

Now Final Fantasy 7, for one, was told from the viewpoint of a somewhat insane character. (Cloud) Sepiroth is also portrayed to be badass, when in reality he's a pushover and Jenova is the one puppeteering him. Now Aeris is also puppetering Cloud, but in a less sinister way. Even after she's dead, she guides him. But it wasn't just a journey to the bad guy, kill him. Along the way, you see Cid's dreams of space shattered, you learn of Vincent's past, Cloud's past, Sepiroth's past, Red XIII's father's fate, etc. There were simply so many mini-stories that all tied into the main plot, as well as the antagonist and protagonist being purposely hidden.
You're and idoit, that's barley the story of FF7 at all.
QUOTE
Most people think it was:
Cloud vs Sepiroth
In reality it was:
Aeris vs Jenova
I rest my case.

I could go on, but I'm sleepy and my brain is failing me.
And reading back now, I fear I may be acting like a complete ass and need to replay both games.... Goodnight all.

You are, you shouldn't have posted.
EDIT: I made this post first on an Ibook during history when I was suppose to be doing research. I fixed quote tags, and, well. Macs suck.
