Basicaly, you need to demonstrate that you know the basics(atleast, the response I got from Voyager when I tried to join), so-
Basic iscripting, basic dat-editing, using RetroGRP, making your changes into an *.mpq, making your *.mpq into a self-running executable, and placing the files within the proper data paths, then show it to a recruiter and you're in.
Of course, I myself am not a recruiter and don't know much about how [MM] goes, so it could be different now. Whatever.

ADDITION:
Okay, I will soon be making an attempt to join this clan.
I'm going to mod SCR, so every unit in the game except the new ones does something different/new/awesome.
The mod should be released sometime within a month, will be compatible with BW v1.13e, and may require the latest SCR to play(have to check).
The thing about this mod will be that I will use at least 2 programs on each unit.
I just hope I don't have trouble with MemGraft like I usually do (and can never figure out).

Do you guys think I could get in if I pulled this off?

That would be my current project with Disciple of Adun, Ermac and Ojan. You can download it in my signature, but it only works with 1.13e.
