Just some stadistisc that I want to know. I used them all except ScmToolkit (yes, I never used it!).

I havn't finished a map that needs protecting yet, but I would use Proedit at that point smile.gif.

I use none of those! StarCraft XHackEdit (similar to xtra editor). That's it, i used to use stardraft...

I normally use SC X-tra for the beginning of my map, for the Isom parts of the terrain. Then i use starforge for P12 triggers/sprites and rectangle placement. Starforge i think is also easier to edit triggers to be player specific, like changing the location name to player 2's location instead of p1's. I then use Proedit to protect my map.

I don't use any of them, but I occasionally use Emerald Staredit XE - which is the Mac equivalent of Xtra, I guess.

Most of the time I use Emerald Staredit R1, it's bug free and nice to use.

I wouldn't mind being able to make null tiles and stuff though...

I used 'em all except ISOM. I never felt like I wanted to make a map with square terrain way back then.

Not that ISOM, I mean the old ISOM, the one that lets you place square terrain in staredit and that is hard as hell to use.

That's what I meant. I never made a map with that little program that just removed the ISOM section and did nothing else. And now we have SCMDraft 2 and StarForge for square terrain. That's what I meant by "way back then".

It didnt remove ISOM sections, that would protect the map. It just filled ISOM section with a value.

Oh. Shows how much I know smile.gif. Wow, I just got pwned by Clokr_, just like the good old days back at Team SE. It's kind of a nostalgic feeling..

I have used them all and more.

WEll, lemme think...
I've used:
SE(VERY slightly)

Emerald Stardraft based V(A bit)

Emerald the Old, never anything like gold or pro or w/e they have now(Before SCXE, it was my main editor...)

X-tra(Before recently, my main editor)

GUEdit(but I never got it to do more than terrain conversions... O.o it didn't like me... )_= )

Zaplacer(it was the exact same as the Emerald and countless other Stardraft based editors)

Starforge(Since recently, my main editor. I don't use X-tra much anymore. In fact, I don'tthink I HAVE used it sicne I switched to SF with the exception of StarLocation placement once)

SCTriggers(occasionaly)

Yep. I've never used Toolkit, GUEdit unless you count, collectively, maybe a half-hour with it, SCMdraft, Map Colors(X-tra was good enough for me), and ProEdit(I never finished a map anyway... v_v ).

Used all except ProEdit... IMO the most common protection is most likely to be busted into first.
