Ok. before one of the Moderators or Admins says "We have Tutorials for Everything!" well i've already Looked into that. heres the Tutorial Btw. Kills2Cash Tutorial.

Anyway..i've tried the Trigger layouts half adozen times on multiple maps and Every time it doesnt Work and its puzzling me to Why it isnt working...I Got nothing and i've been trying for 3 days So..if anyone could help me on this one I'd appreciate it.

Oh and that tutorial a very crappy one. Look in EXPERMENTAL MAPS. it has a Perfect Kills to Cash example which should explain it MUCH better.

I checked out that map and really wouldn't reccomend it as a tutorial for anyone new to map making, it does an entire routine with cannons that is just confusing and uneeded.

Just keep changing, saving, testing, you'll eventually get it.

ALSO try POSTING what you YOUR TRIGGERS are doing. Hard to help when we don't know whats exactly your doing wrong.

ok if you want to get cash from kills do this


Trigger
Players:
¤ Player this applies to
Conditions:
¤ score:kills is at least 1 for player
¤ computer player has suffered at least 1 death of unit
Actions:
¤ Set kill score o 0
¤ set deaths for computer to -1 for that unit
¤ set reacourses add how ever many minerals or gas
¤ Preserve


this is perfect ive used it alot if it doesnt work, post or pm me ad il see what i can do.

Are you trying to get like x mineral per each kill, or are you trying to get like x mineral for each kills point?

his map may require the perfect kills to cash method as some maps do. Hes probably already read that as he did read the perfect tutorial. When i used it i just took a look at that map, copied it and then understood how it worked. Its really complicated to explain though.

Thus the reason the tutorial sucks.

That would work but for a Map where you only have 1 Unit, where it says like 'Avoid using Splash units or Multiple units in Map' on the Tutorials. I Would post a map i made using the Triggers i was using to Try and make a perfect system. but attachment shiz wont let me -.-

no it works for spalsh and multiple units i use it in defense maps and in my rpgs (with multiple units) it works heres an example

p1=u
p8=enemy
ling=unit u get points for

Trigger
Players:
¤ p1
Conditions:
¤ p8 has suffered at least 1 death of ling
¤ kills score for p1 is at least 1
Actions:
¤ set kills score to 0 for p1
¤ set deaths of ling for p8 -1
¤ set resources for p1 to +5 mins
¤ preserve trigger

thsi works for EVERYTHING JUST TRY IT

No that won't work at all if 2 units die at the same time. Look what would happen:

You set kills score to 0, and then you set deaths to subtract 1

So if you kill units at the same time you will only get the money once because after it executes you score is 0 so it won't count again. A fix would be to subtract the point value of the zergling from the score instead of setting to 0. But this would be very time consuming if there are many different types of units to die. And it still wouldn't be full proof, consider this example:

Player 1 kills 2 marines
Player 2 kills 1 firebat
(all at same 1/12th of a second, note marine 100 points firebat 200)

There would be no way to tell which player killed the marines and which player killed the firebat. Moral of the story, there are simpler methods but none are perfect for every situation except the perfect kills method in that tutorial which is very clever, I don't think I ever would have thought to use the most kills condition. Like Kept Wheat said the tutorial is poor, but the map example it has is good, take a look at it if you haven't already.

ok listen i have had 20 lings fighting guys diff units and each unit gives me 1 min and 1 score(custom) then after the battle each ling had 10(1 in eahc level with 10 rines) so each ling earned me 200 mins and custom myu friend tested this too to make sure it was perfect. he had teh same exact thing and we ech had 200 of each i have used it all teh time and it works PERFECTLY the thing is if u kill it at the same tiem it still works look a it this way the deaths are what determien if u have kileld somethign teh score is set to zero this keeps it from happing now if u have 200 guys killing stuff u may have a sli mchance of killign at the same time or mayby with splash but in every accoutn i have proof to see if even 1 kill was missed. i have never had a problem.

ADDITION:
also, u set it to player 1 so each perso nhas a diff trigger like if p1 kill score i w/e it works PERFECTLY and also u dont know the programign if u program thigns liek software and games u would know hwo this works but sc keeps track even if u think it wont so if u kill 2 at the same time it knows this and will do it twice u dont know what ur saying

He is saying that the method sharf is stating is not a perfect kills to cash. The perfect kills to cash is the complex method that Venarus is having trouble with.
