I myself had recently bought Black for Playstation 2. My opinion is its a very good game. Graphics are pretty good for Playstation 2, as well as an interesting storyline. However I have beaten the game in only about a week, which I find it is a little short. If anyone has any opinions on this game post them here. Whether you played it for Playstation 2 or XBox it doesnt matter.

As far as I've seen from the videos and reviews, Black doesn't seem to be an impressive game.
It does have a lot of explosions and blowing chunks of walls is fun, but the main issues are that:
A) Enemy AI is wack - shoot a soldier in the head and the guy next to him doesn't notice
B) Gameplay variety is just enter level, shoot enemies, do hindering objective, repeat - it just doesn't break new ground
C) The story is yet another shady government operative destroying terrorists, blah
D) No multiplayer
E) Singleplayer mode is said to be short
I haven't played the game to say much about it, but these issues do seem glaring.

I agree with most of the things with what you say. However it is an interesting thing to be able to shoot something and it will either blow up or dust or so fills the area.

I played a demo for the PS2 one at a store. It looked pretty cool. The controls were hard to get used to (I can't remember what it was but i remember struggling with them, and no it's not that I'm not used to a PS2 controller 
). The guy behind the counter was saying something about how he pre-ordered his copy already, and it was awesome because you could shoot individual bricks out of the walls and stuff and destroy pretty much everything in the game. After he told me this and after being shot at for like a minute I blew open the door... and preceded to die when I got to the bottom of the rubble, or whatever it was outside. Then I had to go.
I thought it looked pretty cool, and I was thinking about buying it. But now I don't think I will :/

I heard about this game from some of my friends, althrough i have only play on it for around 15 minutes, i find that it is just like any other FPS games out there. Expect for the scenary that you can destroy. Other than that, theres nothing too special about it. All FPS games are too short.

There are two words to descibe this game: Hype Machine. It's a decent game but was hyped to the point where people hate it...

And Black? I read in a review the AI sucked, the story was short, the action got boring, after getting tired of things exploding and it was all around dumpy.
So I never got it.
