I need to put a command center + nuclear silo down on the ground but cant get it connected because I'm using Xtra Editor - Special Mode. Is there a way to either make the things snap to the grid in special mode (since I don't want to lose a bunch of units by doing it in another editor) or is there a way to add them and connect them with a trigger.

Pretty sure there is no way to make it snap to grid with the Special edition and if there is I'd like to know how. No triggers to make the silo attach to the command center.

I don't know how to make attatchments work in xtra editor, someone might have a better way than this, but this will work in the meantime:

create 2 locations where the cc and nuclear silo go. use triggers to create the buildings as soon as the game starts, incase the order matters, make silo then cc.

or get scmdraft2

well since its xtra editor, maybe you can switch it to base mode on it or use alternative mode where you can just give and enable them for players without a command center...

i think probably other editors like starforge and scmdraft won't remove the already preplaced units in there so you can try it if the first thing i said if it doesnt work...

Switching to base mode after you've been using special, classic, etc., for a long time is a bad idea because it will remove any illegally placed buildings. For instance, if you stuck a Missile Turret in the water and switched over to Base mode, it would be removed. Be careful if you try it that way.
