More downtimeI joined this new host at a wonderful time. 4 days (from today), and they're moving servers to someone who is better. This is
scheduled downtime, which I have absolutely no problem with. It should last 1-3 days.
Some people cant access the site because the DNS is updating with our new host.
Where did Staredit.net go?As you all know, I was on vacation for 3 weeks. Somewhere along the way, my older host decided to shut down, without letting anyone get backups or ANYTHING.
Right now, this is the most recent backup of Staredit.net I have. The Matrix stuff isn't here, and so on (I'll put the map back in the DB asap). I'm very angry. Apologies to those who lost all the posts while I was gone, there was nothing I can do.
All Posts, Downloads, Tutorials, Members and whatever added AFTER June 14th are lost. You can thank my old stupid host.
On the other hand, this new host I stumbled upon is A LOT better. I now have 10 gigs of space and 300 gigs of bandwidth. We may offer domain hosting oppertunities for people now. LOOK AT THE SCRIPT EXE TIME! 0.05 sometimes

Yet again great apologies, but it could of been worse if I had no backup.
Wheres shoutbox? This is the backup BEFORE I fixed it. I have to do it again, I dont know where I saved it.
Where did Yoshi go?I was on vacation in the Czech republic for 3 weeks!
Hot Girls, Great Beer, and a lot of theives.
I had fun while I was gone, I was visiting my uncle mostly.
Staredit Networks FIRST BirthdayUnfortanately, we were down at the time of this event. Plus it was the day I returned.
On Sunday, July 11th, It was offically Staredit.nets FIRST birthday! We've been running for a year and we've become the
TOP UMS creation site in the Starcraft Community. Thanks to some of these people:
Shadow Paladin: For helping me set the values and additude of which this site runs.
Mini Moose 2707: He has been here since the beginning. His feedback and comments are priceless.
Tazzy: For being here since the beginning at the side (which he left). For some reason, hes into Starcraft Map Making again, but refuses to rejoin SEN. He wishes to design his own website. Way to go
Interfere: Breaking the word on us more throughout the community.
Ness: Previously managing tutorials.
Chu: For managing the Downloads Database, even though we changed it a few times, we finally got it right. Unfortanately he left at that time.
(U)Bolt_Head: For creating a wonderful Mapmaking Tricks And Help Archive which gets many many views!
Deathknight: Bringing us several new map making concepts and anti hacking things. Now hackers no longer have to
ONLY fear Blizzard, now they can fear the maps themselves too!
Clokr_: Making Staredit.net the offical site for ProEDIT, and making other programs that are awsome. He promises me Starforge 2 in the near future.
Now to thank our affiliates (in order of date first to last):
Omega: Omega was our first affiliate. Although at the beginning, we had absolutely nothing to offer, they saw potential in us. Here we stand, a huge map making site with the help of them.
Stormcoast: Wonderful programs like SCMdraft and Xtra editor that map makers over here use all the time. We support them in everyway for revolutionizing the map making community!
Team Areola: One of the most fun and best websites I've ever seen. Their forums are one of the best. o]T3[o is very lucky.
StarSite: I love this site. It has all the little things that make Starcraft more fun that you find no where else.
SCindex: A great site dedicated to ONLY downloads
Trickz n Stuff: Wonderful resource site. KckKryptonite is a famous map maker and the orginal creator of bound maps, which has its own category at this website.
Unknown (U): The best damn map making website out there. The people there revolutionize maps like you wouldn't believe.
This website orginally started as a UMS map making website. I looked around in the community, and there was sites that claimed to do the same thing, but in the end, when they start putting other content like news, strats, replays, and so on, they weren't so good at that first thing after all. So, this website was designed around UMS map making. I told people, if they wanted news, strats and so on, theres other sites in the community to visit. When you're here, your either Playing UMS, or you're making UMS.
The public responded to this. No one has ever seen a website that
JUST did UMS, and they loved it. You see a lot of garbage on other sites where they copy other ones just to make them appear "cool". None of that here!
Anyways, a year later, we have 30k posts (it was 5k more I heard, but we lost it), 150 files, 100 tutorials, 650 members, and a lot of downloads that got reset

(I'm fixing that now).
Thanks for a great year, but we aren't done yet!
