I have a scarab moved to a location and then patrol using the whole
Trigger
Description:
Grenade
Players:
¤ Player8
Conditions:
¤ Player 8 brings exactly 1 "Scarab" to "Location A"
Actions:
¤ Execute AI script "Set Generic Command Point" at "Location B"
¤ Execute AI script "Make these units patrol(to the upper left corner)" at "Location A"

The scarab does patrol to location B but doesn't attack anything on the way.. it just returns and dies.

Help? =/

i've noticed the same issue i tried making it do that. it'll just return to the spot where the reaver's target is?would it work if you ordered the reaver to attack at a location?it might make the reaver move but might not release the scarab

That's not my issue. The scarab moves where I want it to, it just doesn't do what I want it to after it moves.

Scarabs dont attack
Reavers do

Yea.. but shouldn't the scarab explode in proximity of an enemy?

why dont you preserve trigger it with hyper triggers.

you can control it. example: you can disable a scarab when it comes out and it freezes there.

so you have to make like lots of locations or just use junkyard dog for it to move randomly (i think)

Yeah,in 1 RPG (Resident Evil:X-plus) there was an ability, when lots of scarabs (waves) fly out of your heroe & explode (some hit enemy's some miss, or even hit ally's & U). I opened it with trigger view2 & it turned out to be junk yard dog, only without the disable part.... confused.gif

If you have a location where the scarabs are stored, say the reavers shoot at a target and there is a small reserve (suggested 5x5 or something) and make sure that location has the "Junk Yard Dog" script running or the scarabs will die fast, and the scarabs will shoot out of your character (random direction, but they will at least explode on impact.)

And it helps if they are the computers, and it also helps to have a small explosion on your character that kills enemies touching the unit, so all the scarabs dont come out and kill the units touching the character (the splash will definitly kill your character if the scarabs are very powerful, like in my Spell Caster RPG soon to be finished.. to 50%!!!)
