The Godfather


I was thinking of making a SC version of the upcoming game: The Godfather. I have only watch two of the saga, and I don't remember much of it. This game will need to be a Single-player RPG and I want it to have a lot of replay value. I will put a hijacking trick in it and will put a story mode in it and plenty of bonus missons.

Can someone give me some ideas, the main story line and suggestions?

ADDITION:

There will be Two Modes: The Corloene Family Mode and the Other Family Mode.

In the Corleone Family Mode, you are part of the family and try to gain everyone's trust and become the Godfather.

In Other Family Mode, you help the enemies of the Corloene's and try to kill the Godfather and kill the whole family.

An item box will be available and only one hijacked car will be available at one time, unless the car is taken to your Garage, where the car is stored.

Seems pretty cool dude good luck on it. Hope you can write more features of what you can do and etc. And hope it comes out alright.

I’ve been actually waiting for someone to make a map like this, But I suggest you actually work on the topic, add a template. It sounds good though.

Right now, the map is mostly terran and the main theme is in it. I made a system ( which I think has been used before ) where the are tons of ways to enter the same building, but when you exit, you exit the same way you entered. It mainly consists of using a cloaked wraith to show which entance the plaayer used. I made a Anti-money cheat that detects if a play gets 500 minerals too quickly ( i.e. the set of triggers uses a specail wait that, if more than 400 minerals are collected in too short of time, the minerals are deducted ).

I also made a night and day system ( the system isn't in the game yet. )

Can anyone give me ideas for bonus missions for both sides of the game?

ADDITION:
O, does anyone know the guns and cars used in The Godfather? I know that the movie had the 1958 Imperial Custom and the Imperial Limo.

There are going to be two ( 2 ) main families, but with a couple of other ones. They won't be refered to as gangs, but will be refered to as mafias, or, "Mafia? What mafia? I am just a man blessed with many friends." Lol. Screenshots, I will post a few later today ( Tuesday ). In other games ( I am refering to GTA ), there are huge ass gangs ( like 1000 people for ech side ) that fight. That wont happen in my game, only a few mafia members will be fighting at a time, the mafia is orginized crime... tongue.gif

There is a car shop that sells three ( 3 ) different cars. I only have one name for the cars right now, the 1958 Imperial Custom. These cars can be purshased, but if left around and the player leaves the imediate area of the car, the car will disappear. But if the car is brought to the player's garage, the car will be saved as the player's and will not disappear.




I created lots of buildings, but not all are just the Strucure from the palette. I created three and four level buildings. The buildings are visible ( except the roof ) from the floor.




I am also thinking of putting a mugging system in the game. When the player walks by a citizen and stays next to the citizen for a while, the player may get mugged. The chances of getting mugged are higher during night-time. Should I put this system in?

If you are part of the mafia, why would you get mugged by random civilians? Shouldnt you be doing the mugging to the civilians?

I like your car disappearing idea, it sounds realistic, leaving your car out would get it stolen, but doesnt that defeat the purpose of having one? If you have to park it in the garage every time you go somewhere, itd just be easier to leave it in the garage and walk, rather than take your car there, and then get out, and then get back in and go back to the garage to park it, and then walk anyway. Right? confused.gif

You'd get mugged by civilians because in the beggining, ur new to the mafia, so no one knows who the hell you are. And, I BOUGHT THE GODFATHER THE GAME! ( the day after it came out ) and I have hundreds of new ideas. Your car will only disappear if you leave a huge amount of area from it, but on certain missions, it won't disappear, don't worry biggrin.gif

Ok, here are my IDEAS for the game ( including the old one )
1. Hijack Cars
2. Choose your side:
--Corleone: Owns the Little Italy District of New York
--Tattaglia: Owns Brooklyn
--Stracci: Owns New Jersy
--Cuneo: Owns Hell's Kitchen
--Barzini: Owns Midtown
3. An automatic car removal system
4. An amno system that does NOT allow you to shoot when your out of bullets ( I saw this on a GTA map )
5. Work your way up throught the family of your chose in this order:
--Outsider
--Sr. Enforcer
--Caporegimes
--Consigiliere
--Underboss
--Don
6. Have the map of the game in the SC map.
7. Make it so that you exit a building the same way you entered.
8. Have almost everything interactable.
9. Have a story line for all 5 families.
10. A cop/police system.
...

And then some, I am now starting from scratch to make the New York from the game like the one that will be in my map.

Sounds cool, so is this going to be a 5 player game where players can fight in each of the familys or all go in one family and fight against the others?

ADDITION:
I'm going to put alot of stuff in it that the player can use, its going to be hard to do certain things if there are five players ( I.e. the Hijack Car System and the Car Removal System and the Garage System... )

P.s. Is it possbible to use Players 9-11 as human player or computer players? I mean, that you are able to use them totally like P1-8?
