I'm looking for a way to make one of my units Blind with the medic ability.

I want to add in a night/day cycle into a map and did not like shutting off vision and having an observer follow you around. The slow-down effect is not what I want. If there is some way I'm missing to achieve this effect, please help! biggrin.gif

Unfortunately, forcing a computer-controlled medic to blind a unit is not easy. You can't blind with a trigger. The best thing you could try is to make a trigger that creates a medic for the enemy computer. The medic should have full health and energy. Try and find conditions where the medic will blind your unit. It may not work, though. Medics will try to blind tanks if they can, but not much else.

I was just able to have an enemy medic blind one of my units, but when I restarted the map, she didn't blind it again.

It all depends on how much HP the unit has. I think the target for the blind spell must have 80HP+ or something.

I find just putting a unit in abox with enemy medic and setting computer or player to enemy makes medic go hostile and blind unit in box with the medic, some say you need 100 hp on unit to blind, but i blinded a observer with 10 hp and it worked, all ya really need to do is put enemy medic + unit u want blinded and set to enemy for that player and have optical flare enabled and costing 0 energy that way medic can cast it w/o any hassle.

Solved it,

The medic will not blind ALL units within its radius, it will only blind ONE. So each unit that I want to blind I have to make a seperate location with a seperate medic. Or I could have the units rotated in and out of the location where the medic is.
