Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Change Unit Names
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Jello-Jigglers on 2006-03-19 at 10:38:49
Currently i am working with scm draft 2 and the regular editor. I'm trying to change the names of some of the units that you cannot change in regular(ie. the crystals). I can change the name and everything, there just isn't an apply button for that particular screen. Also if i save it after i change the names, it doesn't auto apply. What am I doing wrong? confused.gif

*I would rather not switch to another editor(i've already tried that*screwed computer wont let me*)

Addition; I have already tried pressing the other apply buttons... helpsmilie.gif

You don't have to press an apply button. You can just X out of the pop up screen and it should auto-apply to it.

There is no need for him to be switching back and fourth to the regular editor. He can use SCM Draft for everything. If this is the problem Jello, just use SCM Draft for everything instead of switching back and fourth. If this isn't the problem, then your SCM must be messed up or maybe your map is corrupted.

Reinstalling SCMDraft2 might fix the problem.
Xtra Editor can change the powerups' names too. You could try using it instead of the normal editor.
Or... you could just use SCMDraft2 for everything. =P

I think i've got it all figured out... I think that the units preplaced in staredit wont be changed if you change name after they are already placed. Also i have no idea how strings work in scm draft 2, i just use it for locations, , coloring, square terrain, spirtes, and now unit names.

Btw, i hate staredit extra(really dumb how you have to change back and forth from different 'modes')
Btw, they dont change back after you use "regular" staredit

Thanks for everyones help.
