first of all,what do you guys think about the ds? i bought a nintendo ds about a week ago and i've just been wondering about some features of the nintendo ds. I know it's internet capatible with the wi-fi thing. instead of buying the wi-fi thing from nintendo, would it work if i plugged in a cable modem or something in it?

what games would you guys recommend buying or getting? i know some people might support the psp more than this, but speak your mind anyway...

It really depends on what you want to play.

I gave away my DS, so I don't know what's good.

Age of Empires and that samurai game by Namco seem like they would have lots of replay value.

it'd be cool if they made super smash bros. for the ds, and able to play it though the internet...i am into rpgs like golden sun and it would look nice for the ds, mario kart ds seems pretty fun also

Mario Kart got boring, after a while. I want to get the Metroid game, it looks awesome. It'll be really fun beating 10 year olds in it

I luv Nintindo Ds

I saw an ad in a magazine that they are making a even lighter one called Ds Light (Maybe Lite). Its gonna have bright screen settings (Bright, Normal, and Off) and its smaller with the buttons rearranged and the lights to tell you if its on or not are gonna be moved.
They are also planning to give the Ds real internet connection. Like you can surf the web like you were acualy on the computer. Others say it will have features so you can watch live Tv shows 24/7.

I got mine last christmas (04') but unfortunately. I Dropped it on my heater and it broke

, oh yeah about the features and stuff...Get Mario Kart DS and Wi-Fi. you'll be very glad you did. however avoid the people with stupid names on Wifi with MKDS lol. Cause if they have a stupid name, You know there 10 years old, if there 10 years old. They are going to quit as soon as they get in last place (If one person quits. The Game crashs for all) Frustrating. Very Very frustrating. (oh and advance wars DS is a good game also

i read about the ds hardware and info about it in magizines and other sources. i hear they are planning it to make the ds as portable and most internet capatibility can get while being able to connect from anywhere...probably maybe even be better than the psp hardware?
the ds has a nice feature with the touch screen though...
if i happen to find a way to connect the ds with a cable wire instead of the nintendo wi-fi maybe we can have a little fun playing the ds on sen

Mario Kart is good, American Sk8land is good (I thought it sucked until I played it because I generally hate those games, but it's good), Mario DS.

There is no decent RPG out for it yet! I wish there was a Golden Sun or Fire Emblem game for DS- that would be awesome.

heh i bet everyone would buy a nintendo ds to play starcraft on it then...and it would be one sweet ride but it'll never happen...they'll just make games like as if it was the gba all over again i think...

and also wouldn't it also be cool if they made sort of a mmorpg for the ds?do you think they can have a hosted game server and we'd play it anywhere...of course might have to pay to play it...

some games i would want to come out for it right now would be super smash bros and golden sun.ssbr for the n64 and gamecube was good but got boring playing it single player but playing it over the internet anytime anywhere would be fun.

mm i want some dark cloud 3 for the ds or at least some baldurs gate
that would be really cool cuz they got that second screen man a game like taht could really be awesome , i got a psp instead of a ds btw an its cool i got the internet and everything ive been to sen on it too lol its pretty tight

I personally think DS is a failure due to the overshadow of Xbox 360 and continued fame of GB's. DS is cool in the idea that it is touch screened, but I don't think it became famous at all. It was like that and it is now gone.

ok i bought mario kart ds a few days ago...its awesomely fun,played with a few people and friends...but i want to try and connect it and play it through the wifi thing...but i'm having some trouble setting it up...i have a wireless network adapter which is connected to a router on another computer. i've tried automatic and manually but it doesn't seem to work. it says connected to the access point but unable to connect to the server....

not really sure what i can do here...can someone help me get connected?

ADDITION:
i think nintendo's wifi thingy is wierd...i don't think its my router but their servers...i've connected once with it then i just get error code messages...saying it's detected my router but not over the internet or the wifi servers...it was pretty fun though playing mario kart ds...

if anyone else has the ds and mario kart maybe we can try playing sometime...but i still need help getting connected

Mario Kart for the win! I lloooooooooooooooooove Mario Kart! Get that and get Super Mario, that one is awesome. My N64 broke so when I heard that it was on the DS I ran out and got it. =D Metriod Prime seems awesome I might get that, but meh.

ds is fun, but its even more fun playing mario kart with a few other people wen your watching a movie in english

i have both mario kart ds and super mario 64...they are both pretty fun. had tons of fun single and multiplayer which my friends brought over theres(luckily no link cable wires)

but one thing im having trouble on is setting it through the nintendo wifi thing. if i can do that it'll be so much fun...they said if i had a home router (that can connect to the internet i should) i can connect to the wifi, but no luck.
connected to access point but not to server...

maybe its a specific router it can connect to?
if i happen to connect, and if anyone else has them, maybe we can set up a little gaming hub?just an idea though

Guys, what should I buy, that new Metroid game, or Advance Wars DS? I'm leaning towards Advance Wars, just because I love the game, and I can play with my brother, but I think Metroid looks really good =\

i did play advance wars before with a friend, its pretty fun..like strategic and conquering games. every game type suits me just fine except sports with the exception of some games,

did i mention i'm still trying to set up my ds to go wifi...still need some help and would be appreciated, i did almost everything, is it supposed to be the server and not my router?i even tried contacting them but still no luck with help...

I think you have to get the actual wif-fi stuff. Then you have to get rid of your firewalls(or just turn them off). But check first.

DS would be ownage, IF they weren't just trying to coutner the PSP, whcih is where most of their resources are right now.
