How I said, I'm gonna release PROEdit 1.4.0 now. This are the changes:



About the Map Colors feature, I think that is very simple. You can open it without load a map (actually it is a feature for work with an editor, not for modify a map). Be sure to not copy/paste text with marks from an editor to the colored textbox, paste it to the raw textbox and convert it to colored text.
Here I explain what is each element.

About the Compression feature, for now it just have the same possibilities than a string editor. Use the checkboxes for filter the strings. If you select a string you'll see where it is used at the uses list. For access to the options select a group of string or a group of uses and right click:

Uses options:
-Remove use: It will set the section where the string was used to "No string" value (like the comments "No text" value).
Example: If a string is used on 20 different comments, and you remove the use of one of the comments, that comment will become a blank comment, but all the other 19 comments will still have that string as text.
-Unrecycle use: If a string is used in more than one section and you want to get two separate strings for modify each one for make them diferent, you unrecycle the use. It will create a new string with the same text and will move the use to that new string.
Example: If a string is used on 20 different comments, all of them saying "ABC", but you want the 19th one to say "123", you unrecycle the use of that comment and it will create a new string. Now you can modify the new string to "123" without modify the other comments.

String options:
-Edit string: Edits one of the string. If the string have more than one use, all of them will change (if the string is used on 20 comments, and you edit the string, all the comments will change).
The string edition window is like the map colors window, but with little diferences. The 'always visible' button is gone (you dont need it there) and there are two option buttons at right. This options buttons are for select if you want to update the string to the content of the raw textbox, or if you want to update it to the content of the colored textbox.
-Remove string: Removes the string and sets all its uses to the "No text" value (see 'remove use' for more info).
-Recycle strings: This option will only be available if you have selected a group of more than one string. It searchs for the strings that have the same text, and merges them into one, for save string space.
-Unrecycle string: Unrecycles all of the string uses (opposite of recycle string). Don't use this with wav strings, that strings must be recycled. (see 'unrecycle use' for more info)

Also I added the "No compression" option in the 'wav compression' menu because Dabbu asked me for do it.

You really outdid yourself this time Clokr_ Conrats on a job well done.

This is nearly impossible to crack. Good job! Now you go make that better-than-Starforge editor now and the BNet skin thing. I'm working on making battle.net stuff bigger and removing the Ad forwhen you create games or view a profile. The profiles will be huge and you can now add more to it. You have the near max ammount of space to use and edit your profile. You aren't limited anymore. <<--comming in next 3rd Party Patch Update. I also want to lower that damn size.

Nice Deathknight, hope your done soon. Yea i would like ad's removed they annyoy most of the time.

About Starforge 2 I think...
Make sure that the Diamond terrain dosen't get scrwed up when you use it.

ProEdit 1.4: I really like the script feature, it is really helpfull when you actualy see the colors you're using. Now I need to figure out overlappings.

Glad to see that you got so much of this stuff working so fast, buddy! This will definitely come in handy. What would we do without you?

Damn this is gonna take me a long time. Great job Clokr_, the kiddie-script s won't get to the maps now.

Btw: What does "protection level" all mean? Is that one of those media hyping things like "one of the best movies this year", or it means something? Just wondering...

Each time that I increase its protection I increase the number, so people can see if the new version have a better protection.

Edit: and btw i dled common controls put em in system 32 and the map colors feature still doesnt work.

What windows do you have? Does work the edit string window, in the compression window?

Clokr...what about my problem. Im dieing to try map colors and edit mass strings.

Lol. One time i saved 500 strings on a map by deleting the locations,comments and unused strings.

Its that run time error "7" out of memory. I cant edit strings but i can do everything else.
