Deathmatch all the way!!!! I don't like CTF and assualt much but deathmatch is always fun. Killing = teh coolness

It depends on what game I play. For Call of Duty 2 I like Team Deathmatch the most because it is very fun when you just kill kill kill (not violent 
). For other games like Halo I like CTF more.

I remember, the original Unreal Tournament, there was an "assault" mode. If you're talking about that, those are the best. I used to play those games daily, it was so fun

i remember back in the days quake 3 arena, ctf was pretty fun. have people running for my flag and then blasting with my bfg9000

yea shooting the crap out of online people in a game for kicks is fun...ctf or deathmatch is fun, i'm not really picky on the modes...

I think it depends on what game it is. I'd say capture the flag on the majority games, but there's some that death match is where it's at.

There's this mode in unreal tournment 2003, i forgot if it was in 2004. Called 'death ball' or something. I'm fuzzy about it, i hate that mode...

Well, I said conquest. That's the closest thing to "assault" other than "team assault (but I never play with anyone else... ever. Only against.) which I love in in Unreal Tourny and SW: Battlefront II. I know, you're thinking "that's third person omg" but I prefer to play it with the 1st person setting. Don't know why, just do.
