Starcraft: Resurrection (working title)
A ten-mission campaign, starring the Protoss, in which you confront a sinister foe--or join him.
Progress: 16/20 Missions Complete
-Ideas•Branching campaign. You choose whose side you're on three missions into the thing.
-Triggers•Um...the standard ones, I guess. I am so sick of typing "Kelaris must survive"...
-General Campaign Features•Two fake cinematic sequences! Maybe three!
•Replay value! You'll need to play it twice to get everything.
•A mod! That's right, I'll be submitting a mod to go with the campaign, to be run in two missions. Let's just say if you thought the Protoss were godly, you ain't seen nothing yet...
Specifications
-Players•Single player.
-Map size•All sorts of sizes. This template doesn't work very well for campaigns...
Storyline / Introduction
You, the player, are the Protoss War Tribune (shut up, I have creative license). When an obscure Terran research station is overwhelmed by the Zerg, you are forced into investigating, thereby uncovering a sinister plot. I'm not telling any more. No spoilers here. Unless someone insists.
Features
-Player InterfaceUm...the usual way. You click units and tell them where to go.
-What's new in your map that others have not done before?•The whole campaign branches after mission 3, right up to mission 10.
•**SPOILER** You die after mission 8. Then things get REALLY crazy.
Details
-Characters•Kelaris, a Praetor and the hero of the campaign
•Judicator Seral, the leader of the Conclave
•Axon, another leader of the Conclave, who hates your guts.
•The Progenitor. The best description is "WHAT THE HECK?"
•And others! I think I've used almost every hero! With a different name!
-Weapons•Psi Blades. Phase Disruptors. See comment on map size.
-Other stuff•Literary references! I am hopeless.
•Variety in gameplay! All sorts of missions.
•Did I mention the mod and the fake movies?
•Drama! Well, more than in Blizzard's crappy storylines...
•Zealots! Duh. You aren't going to have pre-deployed Protoss missions w/o Zealots.
Screenshots / Demo
The first mission![attachmentid=17949]It's supposed to be fairly easy, so don't worry if it is.
Made with Production Template (which sucks for campaigns! Sorry, guys...)Circles indicate that it's done.
That's pretty much everything. Tell me if you want more info. The whole thing will probably be done by next week. And this seemed like the best place to post this. Please post constructive criticism or requests for more info if you so choose.
