1. Make the map bigger.
2. Add more expos, with gas.

You might want to start off making maps at 128x128 which is standard and most used. Also, use Lost Temple's 8-8-6 or 8-7-7 style of placing minerals and expansions. 8 minerals and gas at main and 7 minerals and gas for natural expansion. Third would be a min only expo. Also, for the gas nodes, place them so that the Command Center/Hatch/Nexus can be right next to it as well as the minerals. Players don't like lone gas nodes that much.

The way the map is right now, there won't be any room for large armies to battle since there are so many chokes connecting small islands on such a small map. Try using my suggestions and learning how to make a balanced map. cool1.gif

I personally hate rectangle maps. I also don't like the cramped up space with the roads and minerals here and tehre.

But great job. it was better than the other one you made.

Remember this: One choke point+ min/gas expo in main = terran favor. Also, the entire map is quite thin I think everything would be destroyed by a tank push.

yeah, i was gunna say....terrans can just milk the defensive capacity of the terrain. their already uber defensiveness with long range is expanded exponentialy by those chokes. nothing could ever get past a bridge against terran without a crapload of dark swarm, and if its protoss vs terran....well, lets just say that the terran could win by turtling and massing battlecruisers.


good idea though and looks pretty awsome for same race vs same race battles.
