I was wondering which Sprites crash Starcraft in-game play, because I want to use the Weapon sprite: "Fusion Cutter Hit(SCV)", but Starcraft always crashes when I put it in. I know that this can be done, because I had a friend show me this before, but had locked the map and never told me how to do it. I would appreciate it if I could get some help with this. Thank you all in advanced.
Protoss marker crashes everyone that sees it for sure.
Thatr wasnt what he was asking and for his question I have no clue.
I guess some sprites maybe just dont have proper data on them?
look, i dont program, but if the data for a certain sprites has certain conditions/actions revolving around animations and ways its spawned/removed, couldnt that cause it to crash or something like that?
Use the Protoss Scouts gun sprite ( I cant remember the name ), it looks almost like the SCV sprite.
ADDITION:
Its the Dual Photon Blasters hit under:
Sprites
-Effects
--Weapons
---Protoss
Poop, i have seen the scv fusion cutter as well, but not with a sprite, you can cloak a scv, move it, then move it back somehow.
p.s
you use set doodad state and disable it, the elsewhere who knows.
RIGHT...
Now, disabling an SCV will CRASH STARCRAFT
and for the topic above, some weapon sprites (Fusion cutter, Cannon attack, etc.. crash starcraft because (at least i think they do) they dont have the proper data. Bilzzard probably didnt program the sprites to just stay still and animate at the same time...
Yes it will, but only if the user sees it cloak
what most people do is cloak it when noone has vision of it (shared vision turned off by all players)
some maps have a little 2x2 where they disable units so no one sees them...
Yea but im saying... viewing a cloaked scv will crash starcraft
Its a good way to stop map hackers... sorta...
Correction: seeing them cloak crashes starcraft, seeing the cloaked unit once they finish cloaking doesn't
Yes, you can catch map hackers that way, safe you are playing and every so often, or even at random, it "freezes" the game, and turns off vision for everyone and centres on that SCV being clocked over and over in the corner, catching map hackers.
