OK...first off, in mapmaking, realistically, you dont need to have PERFECT terraining. in fact, some maps pull out some chunky stuff, and as long as it flows good, it works, even if its incredibly distorted.

Secondly, if you dont already, using starforge's custom brush thing is pretty awsome if yer gunna place the same thing like 50 times...

That, and practice, is really all you need....

That seems kind of weird, atleast post some screenshots so we can make fun of it? lol jk, first get your basic blends down, like cliffs and whatnot, second try making new stuff, don't keep using 1 thing and only 1 thing.

I don't know, I was never really good at it (and still not) but the best way to get better is practice. Look at other peoples work, and even get the map to look if possible, and see what kind of pieces they used for blending this or that. That could help.

Yeah, there is. Everything posted in here is possible. I know the feeling, and it's rough. I can uplaod some brushes if you want, then you can look at them tile by tile.

Patience is the key, you'll never grow any good if you don't have patience.

Take time to find the right tiles that make your work to look nicer. Experiment with the tiles.
