helpsmilie.gif I know many other people have posted similiar things, but i would REALLY like to know EXACTLY how to make a scarab go in a direction you want it to. I checked the tutorial but in SC Xtra 2.5 its actually 'Set Generic Command TARGET' not point. I dont think theres a difference on what he was talking about but i just wanted to clear that up. In my map i want the Ion Cannon to periodically destroy random enemy units(every 3 minutes) until it is destroyed. So i put a reaver directly behind the IC so you can barely see the reaver. Then, using a countdown timer, i made a civ (reaver's enemy)when theres about 3 sec left on the timer. So now my trigger goes like this:

Players - Player 8 (who controls the reaver)
Conditions - Player 1 brings 1 civ to 'Ion Cannon'(next to the IC)
Actions - Execute AI Script ' Set Generic Command Target' at 'Missile Destination'(where i want the scarab to go)
Execute AI Script 'Make these units patrol' at 'Ion Cannon'

I have tried quite a few things from giving the reaver to player 1 after it fires to doing the crazy scarab thing but so far, NOTHING had worked like i want.
I have a few other triggers but i think they are irrevelent to this topic.
I havent finished it yet so it wouldnt do much good to steal it but just so you know KILLAH1077/SGC-KILLAH1077 IS THE CREATOR OF IMPOSSIBLE ARMY
i just did that in case some idiot tried to steal credit

Also, i will check around for hyper trigger help but the tutorial wasnt as specific as it could've been. Can i put more actions then just waits? OR do i need only to put 63 waits and a preserve trigger?? Then do i copy the whole trigger 2-3 times?
- All help is appriated

Ok, for the hypers just copy the trigger in the tutorial.
Scroll down to the bottom and it is there.

I checked the map and have NOOOOO clue what you are trying to do. A scarab moved wont ever explode. Just to let you know so what your tying to do wont work, i think. Well i could tell you if I knew exactly what you were trying to do sad.gif.

how about this...

CONDITIONS:
If Current Player brings at least 1 Scarab to "Location 1"

ACTIONS:
Move All Scarabs at "Location 1" to "Location 2"
Preserve Trigger

I've tried it, and the Scarab moves quite a distance, then explodes after about 5 seconds.

helpsmilie.gif ok ill be clearer - Every 3 minutes, i want the Ion cannon to shoot a missile
The scarab represents that missile.i then want to make that scarab move, not teleport, to the missiles destination.
------------------------ The 'o' is where the ion cannon/reaver is.
+.......................o.+ I want to make a scarab to be able to go anywhere on
+..........................+ the map. The 'p' are where each human player starts
+..........................+ with units. This is a 96x96 map just so you know.
+..........................+ The location 'Missile Destination' will be centered on a
+..........................+ unit controled by a human player. When the scarab
+..........................+ gets to that location, i want everything within an 8x8
+...p p p p p p p...+ area to blow up. Hopefully that will help-

Hyper triggers are a group of triggers that effect all your other triggers, making them run at a faster rate.
No don't put any other actions. Just preserve trigger lots of waits and a comment if you want one.
It says to copy the Trigger, not the actions. So yes you copy the whole trigger. I wouldn't even read the tutorial Kept linked to, its beyond your scope.

Be sure to make the waits be for 0 or else it won't work right
