Does anyone know how to extract sounds from the game??

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND SOME GOOD SOUND FILES (I've looked in the SEN DB Section, but I need some more)

Get an MPQ Extractor, open up the Stardat.mpq File, and look at all the files.

Or get SCMDraft2, and it does that for you, under "Manage Sounds"

Use scmdraft2 to get sounds from the game! DO NOT EXTRACT THEM FROM THE MPQ!!

Put them in using scmdraft2, that way, they don't add any size to your map, so if you're map is 18KB, and you add them from scmdraft2, it doesn't add size. IF you extract it and add it it will like triple your map size making the DL much longer then it needs to be which sucks farking donkey rooster! So use SCMDRAFT2 to put them in!

Ah, well there isn't any way to get them from other games without them taking up space... you would need to find a program specifically meant for extracting sounds from that game, or put a microphone up to your speaker and record the sound that way..

Thanks. I'm fully aware that external sounds will take up space, but I want to make this map really special. I'll the keep the map under 700kb.

Try changing sounds from stereo to mono.. that decreases the size by 50%

OK, don’t worry, Zombie to the rescue. What you do is download a thing called pacscape. Then you go into the call of duty folder, and open the files called like pak3.0 or some around that, I’m not sure what pak folder the sounds are in, so you have to search.
