I personaly am against the law. Why? Because people come to the U.S. to aproach new oppertunities. But now their is going to be a law that automaticaly turns imigrants into..umm..outlaws...which makes things worse

For illegal immigrants, not legal ones. But I think sealing off the border is a dumb idea. Illegal immigrants do the jobs we don't want to do.

Yea, and those jobs give our economy sometimes nothing. Most illegals earn money and then send most of it back to their families in central and south america.

I would like a law that would:

Harsh penalties for 2nd of maybe 3rd time we catch a person crossing the border illegaly

Guest worker program

Make legal immigration slightly easier, could encourage people to come here legaly.

More border patrol agents.

National Gaurd bases moved closer to the border, they won't patrol but would be naturally in the area.

there are both conflicts if they do or not implement this law...
sealing off the border off is bad and i agree. but i just think they are trying to do whats right for the country...but turning down people for trying to starting a new life isn't justice...

i think the purpose of the law is to keep track on who comes into the u.s and to decrease the population. if population increases,the expenditure will rise who get jobs.

so i just think this law is bad for the people, but good for the country....but i'm not too sure...

No, thats not what I mean. I mean the money we give them doesn't stay in America. So its not a huge problem but its like the US loses EVEN MORE money each year becuase the money doesn't stay in circulation.

When they send money back, they send money back to their families who could live in any south or central American country.

I don't think you thought this out clearly. If you lost your job to an immigrant (That you refer to from a very low stand point) that means you have some farking work to do lazy ass. THey're not stealing anything, also in case you haven't noticed, around 20% of americans barley speak english. If you'd added in a "fark wetbacks" and "What FOBs" then I would go so far to say you're racist against anyone not from America who doesn't speaks english. Stealing jobs = the job would have been open to him becuase the illegal never would have been there.

They have no health insurance but still plague our hospitals, causing ME and you to have to pay for their medical bills. We wouldn't have to pay if they weren't there.

They plague our school systems, causing many schools to have to have their teachers be able to speak spanish.

California is an exellent example of schools and hospitals going down the drain.

Its also annoying that I can't comminicate with people in my own friggin country! If I wanted to speak spanish I would go to Mexico.

And is it really our problem if they don't have jobs or need jobs?

You obviously didn't read the article I posted. I'll take some highlights for you, since it's obvious that if you can't read a simple article, chances of you getting a job instead of a hard working mexican are very low.

Show me a single example where an entire school had to shape to three students who couldn't speak english. Do you know what the ESL program is? English as a Second language. That also offers jobs, so right after you got beat as a janitor you can head to your local school and ask for a job as an ESL teacher. Although you obviously don't hate them because they don't speak english, you hate them out of ignorance and can't think of your own fault so decide to point to others. Since everyone seems to be ganging up on immigrants, let's choose them as the center of our hatred right?

I won't bother quoting the rest of the post because there's something very consistant. You immidietly assume anyone who doesn't speak english, or is from Mexico is automatically an immigrant. If you don't already know it's hard to get an illegal family to live stabely in america, with kids in school, and good jobs for longer then 3 months before immigration is on there ass.

That's right good buddy. 57% of the West Coast, is Hispantic, now I hope you're not going to tell me that each and every one of them is illegal. I also hope you're not going to tell me, the legal ones do speak english. Because if you do, YOU don't know what you're talking about. You can very easily lose your job to them because employers don't care about service, they just want to employ them for the lowest possible price and have them do harder work. Americans won't do that.

Mexican illegal immigrant = Hard worker with no people skills at slave labour prices.
American worker = Moderately tough worker, fantastic people skills and charisma. (Face it, the best people you ever meet are in restaraunts along the highway.) but they won't work for less than minimum wage, and they want benefits. They choose the Mexicans. It also contributes to heartless multinational conglomorates being more heartless. I'm pro anti illegal immigration.

Some great board generalization going on here. Though it's true that some employers are quick to take the chance of lower pay. That's not the illegal immigrants fault, it's the employer for taking advantage of people. Also don't try to get the idea that I think that illegal immigrants crossing the border is ok. It's just annoying how everyone is saying that they're "losing" jobs.

I never said Americans as a whole don't work hard. I said the ones who just sit around and complain instead of doing something about it.

I say, if you want to get a job in the US, come legally. It's not that hard to do. Secondly, hispanics who can't speak English are really limited to fast food and labor jobs. They won't be getting any office jobs, so it's not like you're going to be losing those.
