Hey ppl,
I dont have to much time writing this but here are the jists.

I have a room and I want the player to be able to see the whole room when he walks in the room but when he walks out the vision of the room disapears.

But I dont want the player to see outside of the room. So if the player goes by a wall he doesnt see anything on the other side.

Any ideas?

you could have like like flags in their owned by the computer where you need to see.

make a location the size of the room.
make a trigger

player brings one of any unit into location

give flags at location to the player
preserve trigger

they will act like lights being turned on by walking into the room

good luck!

Unally the player's vision with himself. Give him allied vision with a computer who can see the inside of the room, and only that (with map revealers, burrowed units, or what have you).

I would recommend having flags or another type of powerup to simply take over as you walk in. That way, you can't see the outside of the room, and you do not need a location for every spot you need vision like you would if you created computer units. It works for 2+ players, too; just let the first person own the powerups, and once he leaves, give them back to the computer/neutral player, and then immediately give them to another player in the room.

I agree with 7-7, too; it will be like lights turning on smile.gif

When you walk into a room with terrain that you can't see around, doesn't that makeunable to see the previous room?

use an invisble ghost make a computer unit and share vision when ever ghost apears but make ghost cloaked....

youll still be able to see the ghost, the only way to make it so you cant see something is constantly moving it from one spot to another, so if you were to move a burrowed zergling in and out of that room from there to another location, as long as that location is on the bottom left of the map and its the last action of moving you wont see the burrowed zergling in the room but you will be able to see in the room.

Like I said before, depending on the size of the room place a number of flags, (near the walls)

Make location the size of the room.

Player brings at least one of any unit into location
Give all flags owned by computer at location to current player
Preserve

Player brings exactly 0 of any unit at location
Give all flags owned by current player at location to computer
Preserve

But its your choice!
