Concept: 100%






Discription:

Pilots use manuevers and weaponry knowledge and skill to attack other pilots hopefully doing the same. They get only their ship and a few weapons to kill their opponants to gain points and win the battle.


4 Players Max
Each get 1 Air Unit

Activate weapons by building Units
these weapons will fire with you build a unit they will then attack closest enemy target...

You also get counter measures to protect youself

Still thinking of weapon concepts...



Map Type:

FFA Arena!
Also a TEAM MODE with a Selection at begginging.
(only able to choose when 4 players are present)

Map Terrain: 100%

Full Arena
Worked Hard on terrain to Create a Colorful Mini Map and Grid
Its an arena that you cant go out of

Not completly sure weather or not to add trigger obsticals, and do it this way becuse they are air units and they can go any where so this would be the ony way to this.

Some Help Is NEEDED:

Need help on how to make weapons home in on a unit
Also need help on making weapon shoot straight at a unit but if that unit moves in a differnent direction it will miss last min.?

You say your map is at 100% completion, but this thread says it is about 60% complete.

So... we're basically flying around and shooting each other down using possible:
-Dropship Commands
-Right-Click Commands
-Beacon Commands(Which SUCK by the way...)

What type of air units will we be using? Wraiths? Scouts? Mutalisk? Devourers?
If its only four players then why do you need it to be 192x192? Are we using fleets of aircrafts or just one lone unit?
Are there going to be hostile forces? I would add some to increase the strategy...

ok, not any of those thats what nice
im going to try to get people to quick key buildings so they can build units while flying, then when they build a unit it will create a "weapon" to kill the closest enemy near you... hope that helps

Yea, I got a map named Aerial Combat And it's also FFA tongue.gif

Controls are bad. Hotkeying buildings is the lamest system ive ever seen. Slow, unresponsive, and confusing.

I'd rather play a map with a building system than a dropship system (or pretty much any other, depending, of course, on the exact purpose of the system) any day. Just be sure that you're running 1/15th of a second build times.

Regarding your question about trigger obstacles, I say go for it. Anything that increases the amount of involvement that the player has with flying their craft, within sensible limits, is giving them more to do, which means less boredom. When making your final decision, keep in mind that SpaceWar, the first truly playable computer video game, featured a star in the center. Obstacles in arcade games have a fourty-four year tradition.
