Holy moly. These videos are just insane. Thought Half Life 2 was 1337? Thought Doom 3 was insane?? Far Cry is coming to... fiddle them both.
it shows videos of the next generation Far Cry engine.
The engine, which runs on DirectX 10, sports some amazing features. Of particular note are the volumetric clouds, the soft shadowing, the interactive and fully destructible environments and the soft particle effects, motion blur, and depth of field. Realistic feel!
Apparently, it's up and running using current hardware - and it looked fairly smooth too.
This is INGAME!
it is well worth the download/wait, even if it is fairly low-res.
i beleive this would look its best on PC and PS3... xbox360 = NOT
if this is next gen, imagine NEXT NEXT GEN...it'd be like playing a movie game... REAL LIFE... can u imagine?

wow these games are starting to loose their feel of being ingame and making it seem real life...kinda creepy if u think about wut it could mean...maybe were all in some kind of stasis like in the matrix!
