I'm having a really stressful time with this. Please, help if you can. I've made a map (- triggers) on SC X-tra Map Editor, and when I go to test it, on either Battle.net or Single Player, it doesn't allow. After the "Mission Breifings" screen, the screen goes black, all but my mouse. I've uninstalled it, and reinstalled it just in case I mis-installed it the first time around. It's really being uncooperative. Help if you know what the problem is.

Thanks.

Try using a better editor, such as StarForge or SCMDraft. SCXE is no longer officially supported here at Staredit Network.

Also, topic for maping help go in Map Making Assisstance.

I am sorry to disappoint you any more, but this is definitely NOT website feedback. Also your problem can be cause of many things, except it's NOT SCXE fault...

Place map revealers and units on your map. Disable random start locations... ><

It isn't SCXE, your map is crashing.

i would recommend starting a new map all over using SCM draft. i used scxtra at first and wasnt happy with the results. scmdraft will allow you to do a lot more, and ive never had a problem with scmdraft.

good luck.

if you cant use scxe then your not gunna be able to use scmdraft, because you obviously made soemthing crash, and scmdraft has even more crashables then x-tra edit. heres a few things you could check:

-did u place independant command centers or jump gates?
-did u use the disable doodad state action on a unit?
-did u use triggers to display a weird unit portrait like start location
-did you do anything else REALLY WEIRD?

DArn Im a really big fan of starcraft X-tra editor and I use it all the time. Im really really unfamiliar with all the rest. I mean starforge does not have any triggers, and Im uncomfortable with staredit. X-tra is the easiest for me.

SCMD has triggers exactly like the ones on SCXE except that those stupid lists of units are gone therfor making the SCMD one better especially if used with the text editor it also has.
