Actually... SCMDrafts terrain editor is better in some respects. The biggest reason that SCMDraft doesn't mess up isometrical terrain for the rest of the map.

Either that or your a noob. I prefer SCMD over starforge just because SF is so buggy, i try to make a map, moment's later it crashes.

No you cannot use x-tra for square tile sets for the terrain.

Personally I use StarForge, but I have used SCMDraft 2

They are both good and work fine for me.

You can choose which one here!

Yea but SCMD is buggy too. I made the terrain of my entire map (and didnt save) and it crashed on me just minutes before i was going to save the MAP!!!

I cna say that [sub]SCM[/sub]Draft ahs never crashed on me. What version did you use.

Oh, and to Mexz; don't just download the editors and expect to be as good as Woodenfire, Wilhelm, or others. Practice before you wave in your first tile smashing atepmt.

SCXE can make square tiles... Sorta. But then again, so can the original editor. If you open a map that already has square tiles, the editor will make those stupid rectangles. You don't get the nice pallette tool though.

I prefer SF to do non-plain-isometric terrain because the pallete shows the tiles full size. SCMD makes it smaller.

Just click and drag it. Duh. I seriously prefer SCM, less buggy trigger editor and it makes beautifl ISOM terrian for those times I just don't want to do extended.
