Here are some little interesting blends that I've recently discovered. I'd like to note that they may be blocky as a result of my monitor's inability to fire red pixels. Anyone else have any new blends? Post them if you'd like.

Not too usable or purposeful... yet. Id need to see some transition blending.

It is slightly blocky between rows...

Very nice thou. Id rate this blend a 6/10.

Stunning wilhelm stunning! How do you get SS like that? I try the print screen from editor w/ paint but it doesnt work well. And in game it comes out black with white highlights. I really must know for my maps SS in the production forum are suffering from lack of good SS.

pretty sexy i must admit. The second one looks better because you can tell the difference where the first seems kinda plain.

They do look good.
I wish I could do that super cool terrain stuff.

After making the first I realized that a unit could "walk up" the wall. Here's a different version. Of course you could always use DT's to block movement.

ROFL! The cacti are priceless.

I've seen the highdirt-highdirt before though.

Yar, but I've made some new cliff blends. I am thinking of finally making an RPG, by simply mashing all my failed ideas for RPGs into one project. Right now, I'm just making scenery...

I like the pics, especially the desert cliff one, and I think that they're great pieces of work. And I feel sorry for you, since your monitor can't shoot red pixels. tongue.gif

Temple to dirt powers, activate!

Not perfect, I'll fix it up later.

Nice to see some new terrain.

The "Jungle-desert" doesn't look too appealing to me, but it's ok I guess. The other ones are very good, though I can see some flaws in the terrain, but I guess that's fixable in some way. The "Temple to dirt powers" pic looks too repetive to be appealing to me, but it's a good blend.

Good work!

helpsmilie.gif How do you make blended terrain?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Wilhelm on 2006-04-04 at 05:06:23
Simple... practice. Lots of practice. I agree that the temple to dirt needs some variety, but there's not much that will work for it. I've got an idea for something, though.

Damn That looks good almost doctored... but not...... lol

Woah, Wooden actually complimented.

A climable cliff could be known a "scalable" cliff. That would be pretty cool.

I never rated the blends. They would be around 3-6 out of 10. Impressive for Wilhelm.

Wil that's a very hot terrain blend. Gj! My favorite was the second though.

Good job Wilhem, once again 9/10.
