Staredit Network

Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> wandering marines

i created a map using scmdraft 2.0 (beta 0.6.0) where you can use a civilian to step on a bunch of different beacons to guide and direct the marines where to go. i also used the attack trigger, not the patrol trigger. however, when the marines get to their destination they start wandering around in different directions and some of them come back to where they started from. is this some sort of glitch in the scmdraft editor or what because it doesnt make any sense whatsoever. confused.gif thanks...

Um, just tell them to move to that location when they get there, that way they'll stop. Also, if you have AI scripts going on, this could also start moving the marines after their ordres are completed. Also, most people use the patrol trigger to have units attack to a location, but if attack accomplishes what you need, go for it.

Also, whatever the problem is, if you're just using order triggers and stuff, it would do exactly the same thing had you made it in regular staredit.

Also make sure the location isn't over any unwalkable terrain.

Cam you post the map? Even if the map is protected, it might be helpful...

i'm pretty sure that would make them stay in their original spot
as opposed to moving back to their original spot after entering their new spot

i've had this problem too, its a pain in the ass

but try doing what frit frat said, it should work fine
