When I first heard that SC: Ghost production was cancelled, I was mildly dissapointed... Until I found this! Blizzard is developing Worlds of Starcraft, a massive online universe similar to World of Warcraft. Check the link in my sig for more info.

My opinion: A good trade for Ghost. I'm getting it the day it comes out.

i think from what you've heard was probably an old april fool's joke.
there was a list of april fool's jokes on blizzard's website spilled out already, and most likely other people made them up also...
but i guess it is true they cancelled sc:ghost...but i don't know if they're going to make world of starcraft...
although, people are focused on seeing sc2 out now...

it would be a little redundant knowing it would be made a replica of WoW...who'd buy a game with the same layout but changing the WoW concepts into sc...thats just my thoughts though...
knowing it would be a joke anyway, would you mind posting what source you got the info from?

(Sigh) I'm so gullible. The screens are photoshopped, there are WoW buttons (or so I've been told) and the article says "Anaheim, Arizona". Blizz HQ is in Irvine, Arizona.

But really, if it was real, that would be so cool.

But its not, so I'm going to stop dreaming and cry myself a pool and drown in it.

Well, i just hope they dont make starcraft 2 as easy to hack (SCMP3 was made by hacking into bilizzards files - or so ive been told)

Halted? You obviously know nothing Blizzard related. SOW is a joke, it wasn't canceled or halted it was DELAYED. Due to balancing out multiplayer and fixing components/adding more things in the game.

World of Starcraft screens were taken from World of Warcraft screens. They edited the worlds to make characters Marines. They have the interface the same way. Everything is the same, even the Mini-Map.

They should release the SC/BW source code so pro people could upgrade the engine.
Graphic enchancements, GUI, usibility, fixes etc.
Kinda like QuakeWorld is now.
(with the ability to start NORMAL sc and still be able to play aka compatability)

Halted means no longer being worked on. Which they still are, besides the next gen console things.

I would think they should remake the game in like...a year from now. I think they should make SC2 because it is too long since the first SC.

Worlds of starcraft is actually a bad ass idea. Even though it's an april fool's joke, the idea behind it is so obviously bad ass, I'm amazed I havn't really thought about it too much. Screw ghost and sc2, do WoS. Not only would it rake in more money, but you would't have to worry about comparing to one of the greatest games in history. If I was incharge of blizzard, I won't even begin to work on sc2 until the expansion to WoS is out.

And if you really need to do a sc 2, just make another expansion to it. Throw in a few more units. or another race or two. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And sc is almost the complete opposite of broke.

World of Starcraft will be great, but it will be repititive because...I mean...Guns and other Guns as weapons...Swords, swords, and other swords...And no healers besides Medic.

World of StarCraft was an April Fools Joke. On the screenshots, at the terran and protoss has the protoss dark templar have an reversed image, the vindicator from the waterfall screenshot, the marine who is turning his face is also in a screenshot that made the land, the marine that looks like the person is controlling is taken from a multiplayer video of StarCraft: Ghost. The hud was photoshopped by World of WarCraft's hud and StarCraft's skin and items.

The one just right in front of you was taken by a multiplayer video.

Krazy, Loser KNOWS it's fake, he's only saying that it would be a cool idea. I think it would be awesome. If there IS one, it probably won't be out for a long time.
