I'm restarting this project now that Memcalc has been updated.
It was the lack of memcalc update which caused the two month hiatus.


The origanal topic for mutalisk maddness is here.
I wanted to make a maddness map without all the clutter. I wanted to show the world that advanced SEN maps with fancy features could be made easy to use and bnet popular.
I wanted to show how 1337 I was and use EUD conditions a bunch smile.gif

So I set out to create mutalisk maddness.
I was sucessful in demonstrating smooth and pratical implementation of EUD conditions, but unsucessful at creating a map.

The reason was because I had no idea how to even begin to go about balencing the special units.

I need help with this. I'm not asking anyone here to do any triggers. I just want ideas for special units and special abilities along with the specific stats for the units.
Added, april something: The stats for mutalisks are the defult SCBW mutalisk stats.

Not all the special units can be fancy. All the wraith needs to be able to do is shoot missiles (maybe cloak as well).
I am willing to implement any ability involving complex triggers or EUD conditions though.

Don't try to pull a Puni.

How to play:
Build a Zealot to start massing.
Build a Zealot again to stop massing.
To change your massing location select your gateway, and right click (set rally point) on the place you want to mass. Legitimate massing locations are:




  • The clump of buildings at the center.


  • Any other player's gateway.


  • The data disk in the center (which will mass to your observer).

I found out a way.
That is why I'm actually working on a maddness map.

That's the reason for:

They're scrambled but not broke. It looks like I'm going to be spending quality time with ArtMoney soon.

gate 88 is a REALLY addictive game.

Ok, you get the mutalisk.
From the shoutbox: Did I mention that you had to balence the stats of the unit yourself. You don't have to do it now, but I need specific stats sometime down the road.

What this means is that you get to chose how much hp, attack, armor etc. your mutalisk has, but it can't be wildly unbalenced. Try to make it a bit balenced, but I'll do the fine tuning once I get around to playtesting.

oh.. um stats?... umm....
depending on other units hp Dmg = 100, 200, or 300 i guess
hp = 20 more then the dmg they do.. so splash doesnt kill them all...
armour... hmm.. lets go with a 3.5 happy.gif (alright... if it must just a 3)

When I first read this topic, I was like, “OMFG NOT ANOTHER MADDNESS MAP!” but now that I see that you plan to make it an advanced map, I won’t say anything. It’s about time someone made an advance madness map, seeing that I played them for a bit but got sick of all the rigging and all that crap. Don’t forget to protect it wink.gif. alright... if you think infested terran is useless...
just make its stats like.. 100 hp ... 20 armour.. and 250 dmg..
and make it so... its a defence from camping heros.....
like if it goes too far its like teleported back to your base

Damn, before I do any of these things i need to unscramble the EUDs.
Stupid history paper. I don't know when I'll have a chance to work on it, but progress will be made during NYC spring break (next weekish).

This isn't the first advanced massing map. There was rEvolution Beta. But I don't see the point of unscrambling the EUD conditions, they will be scrambled next patch I thought.

Seriously I really want to check it out.

The EUDs will not be scrambled next patch, a whole bunch of patches happened before they got scrambled. The patch where they got scrambled was the first patch that did that. If you try 1.07 SCBW you will see that EUDs still work.

The EUDs should be done by the end of today.

They're not really that hard to do actually. Or at least they weren't last I checked.
