My friends,
Look at the new blends people are finding. I downloaded tuxedo templars blends on badlands and i see wilhelm coming up with promising blends too. But these are just screen shots. Triggerless maps with terrain that could shake bnet just lying around. The thing is theres alot of good terrain out there, but its not being implemented into maps. Some maps currently in production claim to have extended terrain. From what i see it A. isnt or B. is so blocky id rather they had done it in dare i say normal star edit.

So whats to be done? Who will take these blends and make a map to shake battle net to its knees? God knows id love to but i havent the time between my current projects.

Why don't you just click on my link below this message for Crescent Dyne RPG... Id expect you would find a map of which to your liking if you searching for perfectly blended extended terrain on a real map...

Or you could check out WothenBall which will be released in one week by Lethal_Illusion and I... I have tons of terrain on maps if you would like to see some extended terrain at work on professionally triggered maps...

I hope you find more of what your looking for, even my resources are limited to just my work & fellow triggerers.

People post screenies because they want to show what they can do, sometimes it goes to a map, and sometimes it doesnt. And if you want to 'shake down b.net' go make a map yourself! Hell, just rip off an old map and add a bunch of SEN's KICK censored.gif terrain! biggrin.gif

I believe I was the first to use extended terrain for most of a map when I made Tactical Paths, the triggers in it need serious changes though, as I did it many years ago.

And I am in the middle of making an rpg for moogles competition, which you can expect to have some blends in it. (Some old, some new.)

Or make them yourself.

Your terrain is too flashy.

I don't like it. I like a balance between isometric, and extended.

Don't dis WoodenFire's good terrain. Besides, I hate B.net, with its 4 year olds, cheaters, hackers, and retarted people, and all the damn bots.

It's only mere opinion.

I feel that there is no depth in the map. Too me, 100% extended terrain can become very annoying, because it all looks the same. After 2 or so hours playing the map, the same blends tend to get rather repetitive, and then the "Wow" factor of the map has worn off.

Ok... at least there is a "Wow" factor where as your terrain and your hybrid extended/isometric would get even more boring, faster!

The point of my terrain is to show a World Map. Rich in texture, cool blends (If you want to take a better look at them aside from the amazing battle system and storyline), and detailed with vibrant colors ranging from Blues, Whites, Yellows, and every color emagined. It is like Final Fantasy style terraining... It is very nice if you want to waste your time staring at it (Which I wouldn't mind because my terrain shows a quality that other terrainers completely lack, and I can say this with complete experience) but terrain is only 1 of 3 major aspects of gameplay.

In conclusion... you should shut your pie hole! Flashy terrain? At least I have the skills to make it f'n flashy! Ha. The screenshots on that page are about 10 versions behind that of they are now.

And by the way, i think YOUR annoying. Post some of your terrain! Lets see how you rate.

Like I said before. happy.gif^ GO WoodenFire! Besides, with all extended terrain versus StarEdit terrain... What the hell do you think is better? <--Thats a retorical question.

There is no need to be an arrogant, over rated map maker. What are you trying to prove? Release a map for Starcraft is like releasing a video game for Nintendo. Sure, a select few will enjoy it. But, the fact is, you are too late.

Your map will not revive Starcraft, nor will it revitalize map making. Basically, Starcraft is on its last leg. This leg is strong, but it is wearing down. And soon, it will be nothing more than a mere memory.

Mister Prophosizer! OmG! Its the end of the world already?

Starcraft still has many 10's of thousands of players. And Thousands of them not shown cycle between D2, Wc3, and other Blizzard Games...

To say SC is on its last leg is to say all of Blizzard games are on their last legs. A Blizzard Game Player is tied to them all...

Arrogent? Your arrogent to say that Im arrogent. Over rated map maker? Im not even rated as a map maker... People still think all i do is make terrain! Ha! What Am i tryin to proove? that map makers like you are infact, more NEWB then ever thought possable! And I recently just saw people in school play Nintendo and like half the school played mario games n' stuff...

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW DUMB U SOUND! HAHAHAHA

Laughzors. Lol rofl happy.gif

I have to agree.
Shadow, if you think someones work is bad, it does absolutely no good to simply critisize it. I believe I saw some subtle flames throughout your postings. Along with trolling.

Wooden, we get it. People can be less than what we expect. There will always be more new players to a game, no matter how old.

Consider this topic ended.
