I played an RPG recently, and noticed that each computer player had different upgrades. This means there is a trigger that alters an upgrade setting. Any ideas?

Did they change in-game? Because you can preset upgrade levels for each player along with the upgrade limits.

Each computer player, that means the map creator just gave each computer a different set of upgrades. Nothing special there. To make it seem like the same computer upgraded have 2 computer the same colour and have one more upgrades.

You can force a player to research something by giving it a unit from a player that already has that something researched. For upgrades, you cannot change them in-game for computers, excluding AI scripts and stuff.

Go into Player Settings, and hit Upgrades, and you can change all default min/max upgrades for each player for them to start out at.

correction, there is no aiscript to upgrade, the computer has to do it by itself or it has to be given a unit from a player that has these upgrades already
