Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> i need a terrain editor

i have played maps (use map settings) that have multiple types of terrain from diffrent maps on one single map. i dont know what programs are used to do this and i dont know where. can someone help me on this

ADDITION:
i also forgot but when i would go into staredit or just play it the diffrent types of terrain looks like a rectangle. all i need is where i could find a program to do this

You can use SCM Draft 2 to accomplish this. You can find it in the Download Database. Some people might recommend StarForge, but that can mess up your map.

What you do is you use the square terrain and you learn how to blend it so it looks like new types of terrain.

You can't have multiple terrain types on a single map PERIOD (you can't mix ashland and artic), but people often create this illusion by using null tiles, which make it look like you can mix space and jungle.
