Okay, I ran outta room so I used Starforge to make map larger, I set it to 128x256, but it can't be opened by x-tra editor ne more, I switched the null to tar and it still wont work, so I thought maybe it was the odd placing of the map, so I made it 256x256 and it still won't work, the backups I made were saved as the messed up one, so im scrwed, is there a way to change it back?
Um.. I have changed the dimensions of a map before using starforge, and I was able to open it with normal staredit. That's funky. So ya, my main advice would be go back to a backup before you changed the size, but it seems like you lost those. Be sure to rename them as "Map Backup" or something from now on so you don't accidently lose them as often.
Try using SCMdraft, see what happens. You could attempt using its re-set dimensions feature, as well, and if that doesn't work just go ahead and use SCMdraft and starforge to finish your map.
EDIT: Ya, I did forget to say how starforge's resizing did completely screw up my terrain so I couldn't put down isometrical terrain anymore. So I would definitely not recommend using that feature of SF from now on. But apparently, your problem is more severe than mine was.
I guess you just copy and paste everything into SCMD, its noob proof.
OMGOSH! I tried using SCM Draft and it said I had Unlock Protected Maps disabled, so it looks like my map somehow got locked to Starforge... Is there a way to get rid of that?
Save As the map in Starforge and make it staredit compatible (it promts you when you save it). That MAY help.
In the future, use SCMD for everything except terrain. And maybe briefings. SF does have resizing problems, such as the Anywhere location remains the original size.
briefings wont work on SCMD... use SF for briefings
Drnit, didn't work, I set it as Staredit compatable... I guess I'll have to restart, I didn't get SUPER far, but it'll be a setback by a month or 2
ADDITION:
NO I WON'T HAHAHA IT WORKED!!! X-Tra Editor still can't open, but I used SCM Draft, and it worked for some reason, now I'll just use classic trig Editor and finish my map, Thx everyone that provided advice!

SCMDraft 2, has a change function that works properly, all it does is add more high cliff terrain and you can easily null that out.
Kupo, a little too late on the draw... Didn't you read? He had his problem fixed, partially, because he did start a new forum... OMG!! I know the answer to that one tooo.... hold on! IM ON MY WAY!
