NETHERIA

Imagine a RPG with no violence at all in it. Boring?
I dont think so. Imagine 50+ puzzles. You will have to use
your brain, not your muscels.

Anyway, it is on its way.

HISTORY:
In a civilization, far different than ours (and any other in the sc world)
an elite team of explorers get together for a project called "Netheria".
They are a team consisting of five members.
(more info coming)

GAMEPLAY INFO:
You will have to work as a team. Each explorer has different purposes,
and everyone is needed to solve the mystic problems wich will occur.
Map will be so big and complicated that several hours (or at least two)
will last before you finish the game.

i have an idea, have u played monkey island or any other lucas arts puzzle games (can get 1 and 2 off kazaa) u could do stuff like dat, have an inventory, and u need to have an item to get to the next place
example: at the start ur traped on a boat and u needa find the sword and cut the rope on the cannon, u shoot the cannon and since the rope is cut the force pushes u and breaks u through the door into the treasure hold, once ur in the treasure hold u need sum how open the window, u look through the treasure for a big sharp dimond ring, then u cut the window open(thats is off monkey island by the way) thats just an idea, for the inventory u could have the items and u have 2 bring them onto a beacon 2 use em.

More about the Map:

Well.. I have made some basic stuff and 1/4 of a puzzle.
i dont think i have seen anything like that before. that is
anyway the main purpose of the map. to do the unique stuff
and making it fun to play as well.

Anyway, now i gotta make me some supper (its 8pm here)
but ill be sketching on the map while the food is cooking.
i bet ill even be able to write down some puzzle ideas while
making the food. (im making taco) biggrin.gif

Well, you might wanna tell us what kind of puzzles:
I.e. would one where they end-up with treasure, or would it be more approproate to find sme odd technology?
I'd have posted at 2:00AM, but got kicked off comp.

good idea...getting ideas for puzzles to last 2 hours is gonna be hard. most people will give up after 3 minutes wink.gif

Lol, I can understand how you feel. That's just because nobody's ever tryed it before. btw, bounds are pretty much wihtout attack units, too. crazy.gif

Hehe.
I really dont know why i chose to take a screenshot at that
well. Im getting new ones. I dont know what ur time is now
since im in sweden and dont have the energy to count,,
USA is -2 and swe is +7... 9hrs difference then

Well in eight-nine hours you can expect a new screenshot,
maybe on one of the puzzles. I got two completed already,
but they're both kinda easy. I really feel happy about you
people responding, commenting and all. It gives me more
energy to continue the project. Before this project i havent
ever completed a map i think... I belive that this time i will
since all you great people comments and asks and stuff.
I really apprechiate that.

PS: Hehe, since its going so well i might even release
a little something for you to test and give comments at.
If so, there will probably be around three-five puzzles
plus some background story.
Stay tuned.

bounds dont require too much thinking, you just find the pattern and move based on that

Maybe you could have it so that you get to a certain point that in order to open a door or activate something you have to arrange a few units in a certian order like a crack the code puzzle. happy.gif

I have an Idea! There's no blood, but there are battles to knock-out the enemies like Pokemon! The battles would be Turn Based, so my idea would be kinda hard and stupid. How about keep track of HP in Minerals, and attacks take away an amount of minerals... and enemies' HP is in gas... disgust.gif uh... maybe not, but just a suggestion...
