Ok I need help. I was doing terrain for Volcano Bound and put alot of null for cool effects. So I saved it, and loaded it up with SCXE. Nothing wierd happened. So I made the first level trigs, and saved it. At that time I was listening to music. So I started SC BW, and tried to play my map. But it crashed and didn't work. I was on single player. So I turned the music off, and tried again. it crashed. Do you know what might be happening? Could it be terrain? or could it be single player? or editor? helpsmilie.gif helpsmilie.gif

You may want to wait like 3-4 min not moving or doing anything when you get into the game to let the map load sometimes it takes awhile for the SC engine to cope with the effects. Also make sure you havn't placed any of the "Unused" units for they make the gamecrash as well. Ask Woodenfire he'd know more on this type of thing being the terrain maniac he is.

Check all the reasons that are stated in the tutorial. If the reason isn't in the tutorial, then it's most probable that you're running a Mac or a Linux.

Does Null count as a terrain that doesn't exist?

It depends.

The only type of null terrain that you should use is (0,0) (Coordinates in the Starforge Pallete).
There are many more null terrain tiles, some which have special properties, like when creep is grown over it, it becomes walkable terrain.

Found the prob. well at least it doesn't crash now. The tile you used for the base/background of the whole map is causing it. I changed it and the map name that was written in them and it works now. the "BAN" was fine though
