Thanks for liking the Character screenshots, Screenshots of in-game aren't that great... but I don't have knowledge of paintshop or whatever tools you use to make screenshots looks better so don't complain there just screenshots.

My thread colors... who really cares about what the thread looks like are you all perfectionist's gesh it " rate my map and give ideas " not " rate my thread and then be rude about it " ... so wooden your in the wrong forum if you rate.. threads not maps. happy.gif

anyway any suggestions on the map... demo will be released soon i just need to copy Player 1's triggers and then add more things to it and ill release a small demo. mellow.gif

biohazard is still in works... just no major updates to it latley just small things like terrain some unit balance glitchs and such no real big updates but i am still working on it.. i just started working on this.. it popped in my head one day and i thought i was a good, fun idea so i went with it.

Looks really nice, but it's kinda the same as every other rpg out their set in 'kingdom age'. What is different about this that would make me want to play this over all the other ones. It looks really detailed, but without anything really outstanding, there seems to be no point.

Just about everything here has been in one map or another. Maybe you think that with them all combined together it will make it amazing, but in reality it's not as significant. Don't get me wrong... i really want you to make a map and have people play it, but i want it to be the best it can be. Think of things that can improve your map beyond any other rpg out their. Something new that has never been done before that really stands out and is not even similar to anything seen before. Also, special effects are a big plus(my opinion). A map will really cool/unique special effects makes it tons better. Does your map have any music or wavs???(quite essential).

As soon as you can think of something that is so outstanding and amazing, you will have a crap load of sc rpg'ers playing your map. Good luck and i hope you find what you are looking for.

(p.s. Ill try and think up something that could really set this map apart from others.)

We'll im not sure what would make you play it... I like it when I paly it by myself its fun, hard.. and id say noobie proof, uhmmm

Yes there are special effects a few but not much just when you use an item and do interactive things some effects appear.

Yes there are WAV's some wavs are from WARCRAFT III and some are just random coin wavs ive found

If you could think of something that would be great id love that... im not a very imaginary guy who wil lthink of stuff not used before... im just normal and i make what i can closedeyes.gif

I added some more updates Minor but none the less important to the map being finished... Well its my b-day party tonight and birthday 2morrow so nothing is gnna be done on it tonite but maybe im thinking in a week tops ill release a Small demo

You probably should take the time to name the units and fix the spelling and grammar issues before taking screenshots. But looks like an ordinary RPG to me. Try adding some unique gameplay or something to it.

Maybe do an airship building system?

Where you can buy armor, structure, powerplants(steam/coal/magical/animalpowered), aerodynamic additions, weapons, grapple systems(picking up items)

And then you can have terrain (2d or 3d) where you get more rooms when you buy a bigger airship. When you select to control the ship, the speed is reduced or increased based on the powerplant/aerodynamics...

The weapons could be usefull vs ground battles, dragon/other airship battles, ect...



When you enter combat you could do AI controled movement where the airships/dragon fly in 2 figure 8 patterns and atttack eachother on the outside ring (spawn wraith to look like cannon fire) let the dragon use mobile grid spells like Fireball and Claw scraping where the dragon goes on top of your airship, does the Karaku bird kill(slashing) and runs back to the figure 8 loop...

Neato system... If I had enough text strings for buying parts to an airship, I would use this in Crescent Dyne!

You can factor in wind speeds, jet stream, weather. Crew skill level, repair level, food supply/max storage, fuel, and many more.



Interesting to think about. Idk if you could pull it off thou! tongue.gif

Your ideas look good, I'll wait till the demo to really judge your map but my opinion is to stick with your isom terrain and towns, the extended areas dont look so great. Yes your story is cliche but for all I know you're just tellin us enough to talk about it, since most people do that(except people who tell u everything about the map before it's even near completion and you've basically beat the game before even starting it, or something along that line wink.gif )
Anyway work on it and get a nice sample of it done, then I'll tell you what I think of it. But so far screenshots are nice and you have an eye catching title.

Airship building? Sounds like Gummi Ships from KH to me.

As for this RPG being 'cliche,' it's really difficult for me to touch upon this issue, as the presentation and mechanics can completely change a bad cliche RPG to a great cliche RPG. Personally, I don't think people should be denied from making RPGs simply because they are cliche. Don't forget that we're mapping because it's fun, or because we want to create something that the public will enjoy. Or at least, that's why I started mapping. But anyways, the map doesn't necessarily have to a masterpiece with a 10/10 rating out of every category. That's impossible here anyways.

Having said that, I must comment that finding an empty treasure chest is very discouraging. But I found that screenshot amusing anyways. Why have a Dark Archon and Shuttle system, when you could just use one system for the entire game?

Thanks Doom, uhm well the shuttle system is for items for what I pickup and stuff and the Dark Archon system is for my abilities becuase i added 8 abilities and such anyway u'll know when you see the demo.

Thanks to Kupo and some testing there is a RANDOM KILL SYSTEM in the map so basically when you kill an enemy... youll get 1 gold or maybe next kill youll get 3 gold or some mana.. mellow.gif
