When you enter combat you could do AI controled movement where the airships/dragon fly in 2 figure 8 patterns and atttack eachother on the outside ring (spawn wraith to look like cannon fire) let the dragon use mobile grid spells like Fireball and Claw scraping where the dragon goes on top of your airship, does the Karaku bird kill(slashing) and runs back to the figure 8 loop...
Neato system... If I had enough text strings for buying parts to an airship, I would use this in Crescent Dyne!
You can factor in wind speeds, jet stream, weather. Crew skill level, repair level, food supply/max storage, fuel, and many more.
Interesting to think about. Idk if you could pull it off thou!

thanks woodenfire for the effort but my map isn't much about fighting in air or maybe i read it wrong, but meh thanks anyway maybe ill add that in another map.

Your ideas look good, I'll wait till the demo to really judge your map but my opinion is to stick with your isom terrain and towns, the extended areas dont look so great. Yes your story is cliche but for all I know you're just tellin us enough to talk about it, since most people do that(except people who tell u everything about the map before it's even near completion and you've basically beat the game before even starting it, or something along that line
)
Anyway work on it and get a nice sample of it done, then I'll tell you what I think of it. But so far screenshots are nice and you have an eye catching title.

As for this RPG being 'cliche,' it's really difficult for me to touch upon this issue, as the presentation and mechanics can completely change a bad cliche RPG to a great cliche RPG. Personally, I don't think people should be denied from making RPGs simply because they are cliche. Don't forget that we're mapping because it's fun, or because we want to create something that the public will enjoy. Or at least, that's why I started mapping. But anyways, the map doesn't necessarily have to a masterpiece with a 10/10 rating out of every category. That's impossible here anyways.
Having said that, I must comment that finding an empty treasure chest is very discouraging. But I found that screenshot amusing anyways. Why have a Dark Archon and Shuttle system, when you could just use one system for the entire game?

Thanks Doom, uhm well the shuttle system is for items for what I pickup and stuff and the Dark Archon system is for my abilities becuase i added 8 abilities and such anyway u'll know when you see the demo.

Haha thanks Kupo I plan on doing the map the way I wan't it and not the way people themselves wan't it because there so selfish haha just kidding.
I would like to have some testers thought and you could get a good preview of the map and make fun of my map making skills by finding glitchs its a fun job. Page message me or something and ill give you info. thank you
