Ok, lets first tell you a few things about this ramp.

• Its walkable
• It took me two hours to make
• It uses a tri-cliff spacer on the top left portion
• Fancy lines
• Not blocky in-game

After using a temple looking doodad, I want to keep the atmosphere of ruins and manmade objects. Nothing is uneccessary in my terraining.

You forgot this tile user posted imagein a few places.

Also I really like the pool, but it could use another ruins tile directly right to the water piece.

@I-Deck, uh, Can't you see I was placing grass? Sometimes I misplace and accidently deleat tiles. And the blend you show can be replaced by many different blends including doodads, which You can CLEARLY see, never reached this piece yet.

:l

I like the blend, the edge between the cliff on the right and the water appears kind of straight and unnatural though.

I think the pyramid is a little unneccassary, but the overallness of the bridge looks good.

Also, the bridge blended in there looks completely unnatural.

Starforge, and either SCMdraft or SF works for extended terrain but some prefer Starforge because you can save brushes that you create. Oh and you have to place each square at a time, it doesnt do it for you.... -.-

At the end it looks blocky because the corner that goes into the cliff end stops, try do a "fat cliff corner" and it will probably look like the corner continues behind the cliff.

@Syphon, The temple was added for diversity...

This is an actual map... like one that you play a game on! So looking at the same cliff faces or cave endings become lame. This is called, "Finding Perfect Blends Which No One Else Found."

It works. It serves a very obvious purpose. I think the cliff size looks fine and the right side looks very realistic because I made the blend go for 2 cliff sides until it touched the highdirt and even that doesn't look like the height is modified. It looks completely natural!

Maybe post my ramp with the modifications you had in mind?

The next thing i want to see you do is a backwards hybrid or custom ramp.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by WoodenFire on 2006-04-16 at 22:38:13
How many?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Doodle77(MM) on 2006-04-17 at 14:00:27
It would be cool if you did two that were the right size to be the opposite of the normal two highground-dirt ramps.
Another intresting idea is a backwards raised jungle ramp.

Raised jungle back-ramps? Syphon did those a while back.
Feel free to get someone to search the threads for it... heh.
