Alright, I just started my first ever SCM 2.0 map (I'm creating a simple 3v3 zero clutter for starters) and am wondering how the hell to give each player a starting location.

Sorry for the noobish question, but in StarCraft's official map maker, the bar on the left has each player listed, which you can click to get more options which includes placing their start locations. For example:

- Player 1 (Red Terran)
+ Ground Units
+ Air Units
+ Buildings
+ Special Buildings
+ Addons
+ Start Location
+ Player 2 (Blue Zerg)
+ Player 3 (Brown Protoss)

In SCM draft I don't have each player listed on the side panel, so I have less than a clue as to how to give each player a starting location. The only thing in SCM 2.0 closest to this is the start location marker under neutral units.

As before, I'm really sorry for the dumb question, but any help would be greatly appreciated. If you're having difficulty understanding anything within this post, just say so and I'll try to clear it up.

Ok, on the left side panel thing, go to units>neutral>start location and then you can place it for all players.

you can play the start locations this way in scmdraft, you can place the start location on the map and then go the properties of it to change the player. probably they start or place out as player 1 first but change the player that it belongs to.

That's the thing, if I place it for one person, then place it for another person, the one I previously placed disappears.

Oh, alright, thanks a lot man.

You can also use the little drop down menu to the right of Layers and to the left of Zoom to change who you're placing units for.

You can switch which player you are placing units for by pressing a number 1-9.
You can also select a unit and press a number to change who owns that unit.
Just a couple useful features wink.gif

not to be annoying or anything, but after 9 on the keyboard, it still continues:
0 = p10
- = p11
= = p12 <---- tongue.gif

just an addendum to useful lists of features

biggrin.gif o, and the delete key removes units. just thought you should know that biggrin.gif
