Alright, some of you have noticed that I'm making a new PHP Forum game, similar to the one's that Moose has made in the past. I'm almost done with the code, only a few minor things to code, put in the tables and such to make it look real nice and I'm done.

Here's a screenshot of the rules so that you know what 'll be asking about. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v306/BeeRKeG/dice1.png

Alright, here's the deal. Having a vast amount of minerals being bet would just greate a mass amount of minerals for the economy. We would go back to the old days of the SeNv3 bank, where people would have over 250,00 minerals and moose would have almost 1 million minerals because he is greedy.

I'm planning on putting a betting limit of around 100~250 myself, simply because the earnings would be way too large. Even though there's more chances to loose minerals than to win, there's still chances of getting 5000 minerals just like that.

I get this from the link.

Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available.

Sounds cool, but the limit for the bet should be 500.

Alright I made the link a photobucket link. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v306/BeeRKeG/dice1.png

The error occured because the attachment was located in the Staff Forum, I didn't know that you'd need permission to access that attachment of mine that I linked here.

If you want to change your vote, just tell me.

I think it shouldn't be called a double sided dice...More like a coin perhaps?

Seems great...can't wait smile.gif

How did Yoshi help you make that?

I say put a minimum of 500 on it, seeing as there is a 2/3 of getting a gain.

1. What's the game called? Eyes of Dice?
2. I think 400 and under is a good limit. Because if you bet 1,000 that's a lot of minerals that you can gain. And you can say "That will never happen" but there's a lot of people on these fourms, anything is possible. Minerals are pretty hard to come by seeing as how you only get 1-3 per post. Keeping it to lower numbers means you can still get a change of getting a lot of minerals over time. It'll also be easier to set other things around it. Like if a new store item comes up if you make it a high number then only people who play the gambling games have a change of getting it. While all the newer people don't really have a chance.

So basically unless if you start making everything higher in minerals keep it under 400 or 500 at most.

Lucky Dice.
Well, after this I might take another look at the armies code. I know how to fix it, it's insanely easy and I can use the same system I'm using here to prevent people from betting negative minerals. Problem is that Armies' code is so disorganized that it's hard to know what's what.

Well I don't know how v5 works but a lot of cool things to do on SEN (and by a lot I mean 4) rely on minerals. And it is a FOURM and not a gaming arcade of chance and luck. I don't remember how well armies worked all I remember is this thread: http://www.staredit.net/index.php?showtopic=4350&hl= where I lost 2,000 minerals (or so) over the time span of 2 hours. So have fun coding that.

I voted no. Mostly because of a couple of little phrases like: "survival of the fittest" and "the rich get richer". Even though I'm not rich, I always like it when things seem unfair, because its possible to make the unfairness work FOR you instead of against you.

A 3x multiplier and a double or nothing. Something tells me allowing a number like 2000 would be a bad idea. tongue.gif

Luck ends eventually... You will lose at one point while betting masses of money. So no limit.

And I suggest you dont make getting a 4 on the dice x1, a 5=x3, and a 6=x2, or anything like that. Its too confusing. Just make it easy to remember, 4=x1, 5=x2, 6=x2

I was thinking about that, but I wanted #6 to be something special at first, like an extra turn or something, but I couldn't come up with anythign so I made an option that you don't loose or gain minerals.
I'll change it though, all I have to change are the actions of the specific case in the switch and that's it.
