Well i have always been a fan of the Harvest moon series. i figued it was time to bring it to StarCraft. i have everything fine except when it comes to the growing of crops. here it is
| Trigger |
| Description: |
| |
|
| Players: |
| ¤ playerd1-3 |
| Conditions: |
¤ current player brings atleast 1 farmer to land
|
¤ current plyer brigns atleast 1 turnip seed to use
|
| ¤ player 8 brings at most7 turnip seed to land |
| Actions: |
¤ create 1 turnip seed at land for p8
|
| ¤ preservetrigger |
ok then i do this
| Trigger |
| Description: |
| |
|
| Players: |
| ¤ players1-3 |
| Conditions: |
| ¤ player 8 brings atleast1 turnip seed to land |
| Actions: |
¤ Wait 60000(1min)
|
¤ remove 1 turnip seed for p8
|
¤ create 1 turnip at land for p8
|
| ¤ reservetrigger |
thats what i have but, the waits of course build up. i need a more effective system. and i doubt it but is there a way to make each seed change 1 min after its creation my method it changes1,then waits again, changes waits etc.
thx but wont they stil lstack up? like it will change a turnip then it will check for the next turnip wait and change?
Alright, I see the problem and I see a possible solution.
Add to the conditions: Death score is at most one
This will make it so only one turnip will be able to grow at a time.
ADD: Just thought of some more to tell you...
Use a different player's death counters for each fruit.
Also, it might help if there were different stages of growth. Each stage would take an equal amount of time. This way, you can have more things growing at once. If you need this better explained, I'll do it for you.
well what im tryign to do i dont think is possibleill have to settle for something less, cause i want each seed to have its own timer, thats not possible, each farm u buy has dif feld sizes, but if they grow at once its kinda impossible, however one idea i had that wuld be a pian is for each slot of land havea pylon or somthing and when u plant something it rpelaces teh pylon, each pylon has its own location, this would work but would be dificult.....
EDIT:WAIT i doubt it but can i use zerg eggs? like can i create a dif egg that will hatch to a dif unit? like if it hatches to a turnip? that would solve everything but i dotn think its possible with current editers, or withought mods.
also, there is one other slight problem...
IV ALREADY DONE THIS...!
No, that's not possible. The only way you could do that is if there were larva that you created them from.
well Element-Nature when did u start yours? i started mine and finished 2 years ago, teh crops never worked very well so im tryign to fix um, and if youve done this ive never heard of it, also coudl u tell em how u did it?
i guess ur idea came up before mine. mine was done around 9-10 months ago and only shown to few people. i dont still have the map but maybe one of my friends does. im not saying dont create urs, cuz it will whoop my maps ass, but just saying i completed one before. tell me when ur done and ill take a look. sorry if i sounded mean but go ahead and get bak to mapping i guess.

I had this same problem with an egg hatching system, and I was unable to find a solution beyond seperate locations for each egg/plant.
Anyways Reserve two players for your turnips.
When you create a turnip create 6 burrowed zerg units at a remote location then move them to the where the turnip is (so there underneath the turnip).
Create a group of triggers that runs every 10 seconds. First you would center a location on a turnip. If there are some burrowed zerg there remove one and give the turnip to the other player. If there no burrowed zerg there remove the turnip and create what it grew into.
Have the triggers quickly repeat this for all the turnips on the board. When all the turnips have all been checked give them all back to the original player to prepair for the next cycle.
(sorry I was breif on the exclaimation)

Why does that matter...
well thats kinda glitchy, the bets mehtod would be to make a location for each crop... but still the waits stack up, but element if u did it, shouldnt u remember it? i guess people now adays dont have good memeries, tv rots there brains.. i remember everytigger i make a map i made a year ago i deleted still remember it :\ anyway....
