Jurrasic Park Rpg
On an island in the Pacific ocean John Hammond's closely gaurded secret is revealled, the secret of a third island that remained opperational even after the disaster on the first island. An island that has had regulary upkeeping and now your going to it. You are a special agent sent in to eliminate a new breed of 'Super Soldier Dinosaurs' that have esaped and any attempt to capture them has ended with disaster. The dinosaurs were genetically enhanced for the military in order to create the perfect soldier. The scientists made them too good and now they have they're sights set on the mainland.....
Map
This map has several parts of it and a complex storyline.
It's going to be single player and have it so that when you go inside the buildings it loads the interior's map.
Progress
Finished terrain in the island map and started making triggers, progress is steady and it looks like I'll be done in maybe a month or two.
Heres a map of the island as I have it so far, I'm sure there will be updates but for now this is the beta for the main map.

I like your idea, and look forward to seeing the map done. There are so many extra-lame Jurassic Park maps otu there, it's time somebody made a good one.

That's what inspired me to make this map. I just got tired of all those Jp maps where all you do is attack each other with no storyline.

I remember once I made a map of Isla Nublar... it actually looked like it on the minimap, but I never really... made it into a game.

I really don't think a high number of foes is the way to go... really for any map.

Things are going good added the buildings and I am now working on the story.

Don't make it so your a special agent sent to assassinate a dinosaur, I just don't quite like that. Make it so your a pilot sent to nuke the island (the obvious choice for anyone who's ever played with fireworks) and you crash. Either you ran out of gas or got attacked by a dinosaur or something. That'd make for a cool intro movie right there. Also, what level up system will you be using?

I've updated the story a bit more 'made it more interesting' and I've also added a screenshot of the map as it is so far (W/out units, for some reason they didn't show up).
P.S. It really sux because I just got done with some of the triggs and my little brother kicked the power cord to my comp. Had to start all over with the triggs. 3hours of work down the drain, I REALLY need to save more often.

Stupid little brothers. I hate mine, well I would if I had one. What did you change about the storyline to make it more interesting?
Nice terrain from what I can see, i especially like the helipad landing. Although I suck at terrain so my opinion doesn't really matter that much.

Really great, The Map seems to be really realistic (im a little fan).
Like Vindexus said, Put more story.. like The main story, then 3-4 little story about the island, Some things to do before leaving... Like: Ex: He just discover a old helicopter with a radio... but it need... hum power so you took the radio and search a power line or something else... or you need somewhere to sleep... Day/Night System (you have to hide yourself somewhere before the night or have flare..) Maybe Use flashlight... Using thing is a part of the story....

Hmmm... If you wait until day... there is a T-Rex roaming the island, if you wait until night Velociraptors are on the prowl.

sounds fun, but i can help with the sounds if you would like, i got all the dino sounds.

Sure I need more dino sounds all I got is a Trex roar and some weird growling noise.
But I'm not going to have him leave the island exactly, I'm having it so that he goes inside the buildings. (load an instilation map)
I modified the first post already it used to be just go to the island and kill one dino now I have it so you have to kill multiple dinos and added a few twists to the storyline.
Xeno(U) thats a good idea but I just thought about the color changing dinos from the book, I could have those come out at night along with the raptors and I could also add territoris that the dino ussually stay within like raptors don't enter the Trex area and then at night I could have the nocturnal dinosaur's territories increase and have the Dinos inhabit a different area, do you think that is a good idea?
P.S. I just added a few screenshots of the first part of the lvl.
Edit I'll be changing the story and stuff I just got some really great Ideas for the map i think i might just scrap the original Idea and work from scratch again cuz hat I just ame up with is great but harder so I'm afraid the release time is going to be much later than I thought and with school in a week and an animation program to learn I'm afraid I'm not going to get around to it anytime soon but when I really start working on it again i'll keep you updated. I'll also leave the old pics and stuff still up for those who want to see but it is going to be updated later on. (another reason is for such a good storyline, I think I could make better terrain so out with that map's terrain)
