Okay, I speeded my map up by 2x and I see a glitch. Units aren't attacking on their own. Anyone know how to fix this?

>>Map Making Assistance

I'm going to take a guess, is the 2x unit the first unit that you placed on the map? It has to be or glitches will occur.

Yes, it was the first unit.

On walkable terrain but not out of starting vision.. I'll try that.

ADDITION:
Ok, I moved the scarab onto walkable terrain and out of vision, but I'm still getting the same problem.

This is from DeathKnight's tutorial.

# How to make time faster by 4x:

For this to work, using the same steps as for 2x speed, you must place an interceptor or scarab instead of a map revealer. Note that a scarab must be placed on land, so that would make the interceptor a better choice. All units will end up 4x faster. This causes major glitches such as many units not attacking properly, vision randomly disappearing and reappearing, and arbiters' cloaking malfunctions.

I know it causes glitches, but is there any way to fix them or work around them?

The only way to not have glitches is to not use the object that causes the glitches.

what units are glitching?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by AngelAlexz on 2006-04-25 at 19:23:19
All of the units are glitching. No units will attack on their own if an enemy unit walks within their range. They have to be ordered.

That is just a byproduct of the speed. You can't change it.

Is that used in a snipers map? Or else it's a very nice new concept.
