You can't open protected maps in SCMD2.

As for the other question, you don't need a separate program for that. Just use SCMD2 and click on File>Save Image.

Opening protected maps disabled!(C:\Games\Starcraft\maps\PGT\PGT-Azalea_1.0.scx). Compile with -IGNORE_PROTECTION option set
(ENGINE) Closed Map.

are you sure? how do i compile with ignore protcetion option?

Well think about this. How do you compile something? You need source code. Who has the source to SCMD2? SI, the creator. Is he about to give it away/release a protection-ignoring version* anytime soon? Nope.

So, you don't.

*See, people here vehemently oppose unprotecting maps. If you really want to unprotect the map, you can PM it to me and I'll see what I can do.

Use Uberation (there's a link to it in the DLDB). SCMD2 doesn't have a protecting feature (because SI didn't want people to constantly email him about "accidentally protecting" their maps).

Uberation? SCMD2? Neither are obsolete, but are leaders in their categories (map protector and stand-alone map editor).
