Doom3 was the most advanced computer graphical video game of the year of 2004-2005. It was named the best video game of the year and soon followed a sequel. To one's desire, it become extremely popular that ID Software decided to create their first expansion pack: Doom3 Resurrection of Evil.

This is a first person shooter that grips you to your chair. You have a full arsenal at your disposal, but you must find the certain weapons throughout the game and you have to conserve ammo because for the bigger weapons like the bfg-9000, it is extremely hard to obtain ammo for it. You can modify your settings for everything you such as switching weapons and crouching. Overall, the gameplay is magnificent.

The storyline is fairly simple. An old scientist who is favored on the UAC (Union Aerospace Corporation) Research Facility has just reconstructed an ancient mars "key tool" that appears to teleport one to somewhere else. This scientifically doctor is known as Dr. Malcom Betruger. Upon the discovery of ancient mars talismans, the dig sites were soon excavated and delivered the talismans to delta labs level 4A. Dr Mcneil: Betruger's chief scientist, is given the task of operating the computer mechanics for the system when she begins freaking out about what it might do. Once the portal became operational, Betruger started sending in sentry bots to examine the area. Each time one came back, it had visuals of dark red eyes staring at it. So, then, Betruger began sending in actual workers in for payment. Each time they came back, they were either ripped to pieces or cut their tonge off and ate the workers who tried to help them. Betruger began to give up hope and did the unthinkable. He went inside the portal. Apparently, he came back and seemed perfectly fine. He talked the same and had the same personality, but he seemed just a little different. Then, the excavation at the dig sites found a strange martian artifact called the soul cube. Betruger seemed relieved that they had found it. McNeil had for some reason became very scared about what was going on and left mars. She ordered a counsellor to attend to betruger. Counsellor Swann was sent in with Jack Campbell: his bodyguard, to see what betruger was up to. Upon their arrivery, a marine transfer came with them. His name was Corporal Allen (you). Swann interrogates betruger and gets full access to the facility and leaves for alpha labs while you go see master sergeant thomas kelly, the certified badass around the facility. He gives you an order to check out a decommissioned communications relay to find a missing scientist. At the arrival, you see the scientist begging to send a message to delta labs to "warn them about the devil." But when you see the screen, the soul cube was thrown into the portal and all hell broke loose.....

The graphics are state of the art in technology. In fact, most xbox 360 games use doom3's graphic engine. So far, it is the best graphical game of all time.

Overall, i reccommend this game to anyone who enjoys fps's and has a taste for horror.

Doom3: Resurrection of Evil, the sequel to 2004-2005's hit selling first person shooter: Doom3, expands the devastating mars research facility to its finest.

Doom3: Roe has the same gameplay as its prequel, but it has more weapons such as the ionized plasma levitator and the double barrel shotgun. Once again, you can customize your controls and it gives you the option to have a number for each gun, so you can switch to it quicker.

The storyline is close to the original, but a lot less complex. You are just a marine tech and you are sent in with your team commanded by Dr. McNiel: the UAC scientist spoken about in the last review. As you explore the dig site, you find a strange artifact that appears to be a glowing heart. You slowly pick it up, and all hell brakes loose...

The graphics are about the same but a little better. Not much difference in the original and this one.

Overall, i recommend this game to anyone who enjoyed Doom3. It is a great add on to the story and provides future detail on what happened to Betruger...

GamePlay: 9 Same as before since its the same thing
Storyline: 7 It just didn't cut what the original one did
Graphic's: 10 Just the same and just how most people like it
Overall: 9 Pretty good, but it wasn't as good as original
Replay Value: 8.5 It offers more weapons, so it gives you even more of a reason to keep on playing it over and over
Value: Supreme A great add-on the doom series
