Report, edit, etc...Posted by AgenT_Nick on 2006-04-30 at 19:33:08
ok i just finished my map! (yay) but when i started i got this error messege.

The map could not be loaded because it had too many obstructions. Try widening the corridors and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

what the hell does this mean? do i have too many strings used? can sombody really help me?

Too much extended terrain, basically. I'm sure a terrainer can expand on that.

You shouldnt have too.
If this only happened after the protection, then it was the protecors fault, you should use ProEdit or GUEdit. Im not sure about Uber3, but Uber2 had some problems with it...

this problems pretty common apparently, it has to do with extended terrain, the solution most people perform is to remove doodads
Report, edit, etc...Posted by A_of_s_t on 2006-04-30 at 19:55:30
But I thought extended terrain didnt include doodads?

There is no Uber 3 yet.

Im pretty sure its not because of extended terrain, i tested CDRpg and thats all extended terrain and its 256x256. Probably just the editor or the protector, Meh i just use SCMDraft 2 protector and it works fine.

But I'll try submitting this bug to legacyweapon, because I've been testing with Uberation and it screws up the map terrain.

did the error actually say that or did you change it?? Also Does protection really matter anymore. You could use Guiedit for all it really does vs osmap.
