This is sort of along the lines on the immigrant thing. So, what do you think. Should we have a spanish national anthem?

For once, I agree with bush. They should learn it in English.

Ya, leave it in english. Cause the last time I checked, most of the country spoke english as 1st or 2nd language.

This is an English speaking nation... It's not our faults they illegally immigrated, and are beaners.

You know over the course of this issue I went from strictly against all illegals to sort of understanding why/how they are here.

From a neutrol stand point I believe the whole boycott of the us economy and this national athem that I believe they edited too (not just translated it) are not a very good move for them. Protesting and holding rallys is fine.

BUT

When you want to be a citizen and become apart of this country, YOU SHOW IT, say hey we can (or most of us can) speak english, take your student citizen english tests and sing your national anthem in english! WE ARE AMERICANS!!!

SO, thats why I feel it is not a smart move on their part to also hold rallies and wave mexican flags which they have done which if they want support from US citizens they should show they love this country and be waving US flags, which they also mostly do too.

So the above statements are from a middle stance.

Final thoughts, just sing it in english, show you want to be apart of this country.

I believe that if aliens want to live here, then they should at least learn our anthem in our language.

I don't think immigrants should be allowed at ALL. Aliens show the country is not strong or a powerful country. In most countries, you have to be atleast 25-75% whatever the countrymen are. (e.g. Germany, Switzerland, Austria)

That, and learn the language too. I hate going to stores where you can't understand what they're saying because it isn't in enlgish.

Aliens actually show that a country is strong. Would you rather immigrate to a strong country or a weak country?

We shouldn't succum to the will of illegals.

I dont realy care about the anthem.. Sure if someone immigrates to some place he/she should SURTENLY speak the language, which is used there.. And all of you Americans are immigrants too

DarK: This is a forum. You have the time to make spell correctly and use correct grammar so we can actually understand what you are saying. When you don't use correct grammar or spelling, we can't understand you, you sound like an idiot, and you don't add anything.

Chris: Why not? He sounds stupid and he should know it. Making fun of the president is patriotic, it points out the mistakes of our government so our government can fix its mistakes. This makes America better. After all, I do have the First Amendment.

Of course I typo every word so bad that its unreadable? I dont think so..

I am totally against this. This only encourages more illegal immigration, and less of an incentive to learn english.

If they have one for spanish, y dont they have one for other languages as well? Like, french? Chinese? Korean? I know for sure that there are tons of asians along the west coast that still do not know a single english word.

Well, what I think is worse than this is how in the protests, they kept holding up the Mexican flag saying, "Viva México!" This is America, if they are going to advertise a developing country that they ran away from in our nation, then they should go back there. I honestly don't get the logic. This happened in San Diego, so I'm not sure if in other places they did this too.

I agree with HolySin on all accounts. Don't forget, people, though, that America is 100% immigrant except for Native Americans (which are scarce). Britain FTW!

Yea, in our city, people were holding mexican flags. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Ok first mostly why Mexicans come to USA is because they cant find good jobs in Mexico...

And I doubt any of us would bother to learn Chinize if wed move to work in China... But maybe we would if wed get hmmm some money for it lol.....

Yes I agree they should speak English but their not realy criminals for trying to get a job and live.. And mostly immigrants do alot of jobs that many natives dont lol.. Their more like cheap labor.. But that of course has its own disadvantages..

In case you didn't notice, no one had said that all mexicans are criminals and no one said that mexicans can't have jobs.

And about the 'no good jobs in mexico' thing, the world isn't fair. Thousands of people die a day, and even more then that are born. The one thing I can say is that it's not America's problem why the immigrants are here. It's the fact that they're here and want to sing America's National Anthem, in America, officially. We don't care that you mexicans (I would say this to any race; just if you think I'm being racist or anything ) can't speak English; learn.

If i moved to china i would learn chinese because that is their language. if i moved to france i would learn french. They arent criminals for getting jobs, they are criminals for being "ILLEGAL" IMMIGRANTS!!!
